Hi guys! I really can't decide on what online review should I take? Any advice is much appreciated! Thank you...
I am doing Hurst right now and I really like it, whenever I do practice questions I get them right with the strategies they taught me, and the teachers are actually nurses too, we were told Kaplan teachers weren't nurses and they just have you do alot of questions
As far as I know the Kaplan instructors are required to be RNs with a Masters Degree. I also just looked it up.

I'm going to take Kaplan because it was included in my program but I've read a lot of posts on this site about review courses and I'm glad mine will be kaplan. They say the questions are tough and most similar to nclex, and if you can do well on their question trainers, you can do well on nclex. I also like that each test gets more difficult and more like the nclex as they progress (with a total of seven). Each test also has more questions than the previous, with the seventh and final test having 265 questions just like the nclex. I think this is a good way to prepare and have an idea of what it will feel like to take a 265-question exam.
Plus, Kaplan offers their "decision tree" approach to answering questions, which apparently is an incredibly helpful tool to guiding you to the correct answer.

Thanks nightflower! I appreciate your input. Yeah I'm also thinking of trying the Kaplan's Qbank for a month or so.. I have read somewhere here too that I can just google it and get it for free. I tried and found some of the question trainers. :)
Hey there!! I just passed the NCLEX with 86 questions. Check out my thread about how I studied, but I did both NCSBN and Kaplan (Qbank only). NCSBN did not help me at all and I found the wording to their questions confusing and not like the NCLEX at all. Although it is good for content. My advice would be to do questions like crazy though, do as much as you can!! Kaplan was great for that and everything about it was similar to the NCLEX. Kaplan questions are higher level questions too. I only did the Qbank so there were just questions and no content you can purchase content along with the Qbank if you want too. Review rationale for all the questions even the ones you got right because you need to think in NCLEX mode not nursing school mode. Just do a ton of questions and review rationale... you'll do great!

I liked it because the question style and format was just like the NCLEX. There were SATA, EKGs, lots of prioritizing, drag and drop, "pointer" and heart sound/lung sound questions. Furthermore, the questions were "tricky" like NCLEX questions can be. It was focused, guided, and broken down into sections. I personally always scored well in Psych, OB, and Peds so I liked that I could skip around and focus more on what I needed help with, such as Cardio. I felt like it literally just broke down what you needed to pass the test. Plus, the price is pretty reasonable. I could also do it on my own time and at my own pace.
