Kaplan college in San Diego RN program

Hi, I will be starting the RN program with Kaplan as soon as we relocate. My husband's in the Military so the wait lists at other colleges turned me away from them.

Do any of you go to Kaplan? If so, how did it work out for the student loans and stuff , I am confused. It seems as if tuition is around 45000 for the couple years of the program. I am eligible for the pell grant and the military grant of 3000 per year. But would the loans be able to cover everything else since it's a vocational school more than a traditional college? Thanks!

Hi i was thinkng of going to school for the RN program in kaplan. I was told of the wonderlic test from my advisor, but we lso need to study for hesi2 and ktp?? What is that nd can we buy books to study for it? As for teas test , my advisor told me they eliminated this? :( please let me know where i can stuff to study from, thank you ;)

Hi i really want to take the tests, but im super anxious about the admission test. What kind of math is it so i can brush up!?!? Than you!!!

I just used the KTP study guide they gave me. KTP test covered basic math (decimals, percentage, fractions), reading comp and writing. I don't think Kaplan uses writing to make their decision but who knows. The test was straightforward, I suggest you study well for it and then take the test early. If you score high enough you might even qualify for early-admission. Hope to see you in January!

@unrealstylez- i dont know how to reply back to you. My accnt on let e send out pm. But i was planningon jan 13 also but toooooo nervous and anxious to take the wonderlic. My advisor told me nothing about ktp unless id pass the wonderlic i guess. :( im scaredddddddddd

What other tests do ee need to take vesides the wonderlic and ktp? Is there a TEAS test still?

Hey everyone... I'm currently in the Kaplan ADN program. This is my last semester so only 6 weeks more to go!! I came in as an LVN so those who have questions regarding transition I can answer some questions. I also have some friends who were traditional so I can help out with those questions as well. Hi !!!! I'm also an LVN graduate from maric. I taken all my pre-reqs except alg. Would i still be able to work? And what did ou think was the hardest part of the program?. :)

Well my rep said he would just resubmit my application for January. I don't really have high hopes not am I relying on it. If I didn't get into September I'm pretty sure nothing has changed for January. I know we should try to stay positive but I need to be realistic. Ill probably try to get my LVN or finish my prereqs somewhere else and do a step up program.

Oh, good that your app. is getting resubmitted. Did you take the KTP your second time? I know scores were crazy high for September.

I got nothing official in the mail, however my rep called me and said I'm good to go for the Jan start date. I haven't received the mail that tells me which classes transfer to Kaplan. Either way I am still excited!
