kaplan college sacramento

Hi everyone. Iam looking into the kaplan college in sacramento lvn program that starts in october. I went for the tour already and passed the first test. What i was wondering was does anyone have any thoughts on this school? are you currently attending this class? how are the teachers what type of finacial aid do they have? any info would be greatly appreciated. also i was looking at csi college in vacaville anything on that school would be helpful too.

Hello I know I'm coming in late on this topic but I can't help but comment. I am also waiting for my "letter" from Kaplan...I received the phone call stating that they were mailed and to call when I receive it. Well...still no letter so I called my rep and he said they were mailed out today. Classes start Nov 9th, it sure seems like they are waiting for the last minute to get everyone enrolled. Has anyone gotten a letter yet?

Jen: no letter yet. hope to see you in november with the rest of us called on here. it's so frustrating how they keep telling us they have been mailed one week, then it's no they are mailed the next week, and so on...and i think i said this before, but i don't understand why they call to say you're in, but don't call back until you get your letter...you guys know we're in, just get us enrolled already and get the ball rolling! there's lots of stuff some of us have to do!

i know!!! I have to get a physical,a copy of my ppd from this yr,finanacial aid loan!!!! give my two week notice(which will be friday),get school supplies...sheesh!!! I also want to buy some really good nursing shoes!!! lol.

@Ashlie-Your right we all know we're in but I'm going crazy because there is so much to do still for some of us. My background is done and they have a copy of my IZ's but no-one told me about a PE and a PPD. It would of been nice for someone to tell me this what if my doctor can't get me in for a few weeks? Gosh. And your right we still have our financial Aid stuff to do. The program cost was listed at $31,000 but I heard the price went up this year and I don't know the exact amount but it was a few thousand more from what my rep said. It's still cheaper than Western, their program is like 42,000 and 4 months longer than Kaplan.

@Applemom-I keep getting different information. The lady who called me said letters were mailed out and then today I call because it been awhile and they say no they were mailed today. If I don't get a letter by Wed. I'm going to ask them If I can just drive over there and pick it up LOL

31k? Who quoted you that? Carol from admin said in June that it was 26,650!! I know in socal it's that much but not up here. I was told it shouldn't be more than 28k. Wow if it is in the 30ks I soooo won't be going!!

Oh don't quote me on a price because I'm not sure, I've heard too many different amounts. If they quoted you around $26,000 then maybe the $31,000 figure I heard was the new amount...like I said I'm not sure. Don't give up because of the price, this is your future and prices will only keep rising so it's best to do it now. Plus we will have grants and student loans with low monthly payments once we graduate.
