Hi everyone! I am scheduled to take my NCLEX next week friday January 25th. I am super nervous ! I have been waking up everyday at 6 in the morning to complete 75 questions of UWORLD and remediate and then before bed another 75 questions. My school made us buy the Kaplan QBANK so I have also done that. These are my following results for Kaplan:

Diagnostic: 55.6%

Overall average of the QBANKS: 60.5%

Trainer 1: 59%

Trainer 2: 61%

Trainer 3: 59%

Trainer 4: 57%

Trainer 5: 66%

Trainer 6: 64%

Have not done trainer 7.

Readiness: 67%

On UWORLD I have done a total of 12 exams all 75 questions. I am in the 91 percentile but I am not sure how much I should believe that? I am thinking of not doing trainer 7 for kaplan and just focus on doing my UWORLD exams and continue going over all their rationales until my test date. I am planning on doing the self assessment for UWORLD this friday, exactly one week before my test.

What do you guys think? Should I do trainer 7 for kaplan or just stick to UWORLD? For those who already took the NCLEX, would you say the questions were more like UWORLD or kaplan? and are my scores good enough? Should I trust UWORLD and my 91 percentile?

Any feedback will help and be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Hi there! I did Hurst (it was part of school) and Uworld. Uworld was great. I was 60-70% the entire time. I did about 150 questions a day. ? My predictions were high chance of passing, and I did. First try, 75 questions. I had about 25 SATA and a couple who to see first, I also had several ordering about infection control. The test was not awful, even though I cried at the end. Just breathe and keep going. Realistically you are only answering a few questions in each category, and if you just stay calm you’ll do great. Don’t try to guess the test, or figure out how you are doing, it will drive you crazy. Take your time, pick your gut answers, and move on. You can do it!

Hello!!! I take my NCLEX on the 25th as well! I wasn’t able to do uworld due to the price but I do have Kaplan provided from my school! The representative we talked to said there goal is to have at least a 50% because all of there questions are passing level so I think you are going to be fine!!!

how are you dealing with the anxiety? Am I the only one freaking completely out with it coming up?! Lol

OMG it has been so hard!! I literally cry every night before bed. I have been driving everyone crazy talking to them about it. Have you done trainer 7? I don't think I have the time because I really want to do more UWORLD and review my content. I pray everyday that I do well on both my practice exams and the NCLEX. Are you taking it in florida? do you know if we can still get our results saturday or sunday or do we have to wait until Monday?

No I haven’t done trainer 7 yet I was going to wait until Sat/Sun and use those results to study by up until Thursday! And I’m the same way I’ve been running everyone crazy but I can’t help it! This is the last step!!! I’m in SC and one of my class mates last semester took it on a Friday as well and got her results back on Sunday! She did the quick results I’m not sure about Florida though!

I don't know anything about Kaplan. But I can share my experience with UWorld.

I did all of the questions ... went straight through the entire ~2,133 of them without any other studying. No looking things up... no books or websites. I just went with what I knew, and my gut feeling on the questions -- because I really wanted to see where I was, with just the knowledge in my brain.

I finished ALL of those questions, and my final (pie chart) overall score was 66% correct ~ which is 92nd percentile.

I then went back through all of the questions I had "marked" and missed. I went through some of them over and over, until I'd finally gotten every single question on UWorld correct, and felt like I understood the rationales, and why I had missed them in the first place.

I passed the NCLEX yesterday in 75 questions.

So, based on my experience, I would say definitely trust UWorld. If you are consistently doing questions and hovering around the 91st percentile, I'd say you are going to be just fine. ? Best wishes!

Congratulations!! So happy for you! & Gosh that makes me feel better! I have been doing 75 and then going over them and then doing another 75 daily. I actually have gone through books and stuff but now I think I am just going to stick to reading their rationales since I want to do as many questions before my test and I only have a week. Thanks for the feedback!!

There will a 3 day NCLEX Review BOOTCAMP in Fort Lauderdale from Jan 18-20. Call this # if you feel you need it before your exam: 954 825 6063. They will have it available online as well as live. Good luck! Stay focus!

To the OP. With those scores, you're good to go. Darn , you could take it right now and pass. I test the 26th using ATI and Uworld. Be confident, and kinda focus on relaxing so anxiety doesn't get the better of you.

I had Kaplan from my school. I finished the q bank. The problem with Kaplan is that if you don't use the ebook, you may not do well on the NCLEX. The rationales are underwhelming.

With UWorld, you get adequate rationales plus pictures as reinforcement.

I used both and passed on the first try but I think it's because I used UWorld.

Consider using both to study.

Hi! I actually did the three day Kaplan BOOTCAMP, it was a part of my school's program. What they did was go over and answer the questions on Trainer 7 with you and explain the answers using the decision tree. It really reinforces using the decision tree, I felt like I was just better off watching the kaplan videos at home tbh. However, the lady who acted as the host did give a few good tips here and there that I was grateful for. Thanks anyway!

You're welcome. Seriously ~ I think you're going to be good. ?

Their rationales are great & just what you need to know. It's already trimmed down for you... instead of sifting through books. I wouldn't have gotten through nearly as many questions if I had reached to other resources. I guess I was focused on EXPOSURE... I wanted to have all of those topics brought back into my mind so I could go, "okay, I remember that" or "wow, I've never even heard of that". Lol.

And I agree -- the pictures on UWorld were VERY helpful to me, and helped things stick in my mind.

Best wishes! You've got this. ;)
