Hi All,
I am curious as to what a competitive applicant has for an ATI TEAS score, GPA, prereqs. I understand the minimum TEAS was 78, but it has been temporarily lowered to 65.
Obviously, the higher the scores the better, but what does an average accepted applicant's scores look like?
What is a solid TEAS score for acceptance, do I have to score in the 90s or are scores in 70s adequate?
Do most selectees earn A's on their Zoology and MICR, or are B's competitive? Essentially, I am wondering if I should fork out additional money to retake the zoology classes to raise the B's to A's or is that an unwise use of tight funds?
Any guidance is appreciated.
Lol I have been reading here and saw that your status changes on star so I have been checking that regularly. As for late sept. Looks like the girl was wrong! It's already ending of sept and nada and yesterday I was told mid oct but it could be delayed cuz they will be going through accreditation so blah!!!! I give up asking lol. I'm just gonna TRY and wait patiently. As soon as oct comes my mailman will get to know me. Hahaha
Roz26: I did apply to UH as well. I'm not too confident about the UH school of nursing application because of my GPA. My pre-req GPA is pretty good but my cumulative GPA isn't the greatest. My entrance exam scores are just average as well. I took a nurse assistant/aide class but didn't get my state certification. I don't think UH takes medical experience into consideration, which is too bad.
Ellers: Awww I was really hoping for a September surprise haha. More waiting it is then...
I could not agree more. It is a little silly how they keep all the students waiting in the dark for months. After all letting us in on the application process will not change anything other then all the hype! I also wish KCC and UH required acceptance letters, what a difference that would make, but that require a lot more 'work' on their end!
rockinitfreshhawaii: Here is the link its on Oct 16, it didnt say anything about deadline, but there is a number there. I will be going on the 16th of Oct. I only have my BLS, no first aid or aed.

I hadn't heard that NP was going to doctor of nursing- good thing to know.
I find it a little odd that out of 3 programs I am considering (1. KCC ADN 2. UH BSN and 3. UH MEPN) the one with the most requirements for me is the ADN (they do not accept accept any of my upper level writing classes or language classes), followed by the BSN, and the easiest prereqs are for the MEPN.
