Members are discussing receiving offer letters for various nursing positions at different medical centers in locations such as Anaheim, Woodland Hills, San Diego Medical Center, and West LA. Some members have received offers for Labor and Delivery (L&D) units, while others are still waiting to hear back about Medical Surgical (MedSurg) positions. There is also discussion about contacting HR for updates on offers, with some members experiencing delays in communication.
Starting a thread for those applying to KP So Cal for the August 2025 cohort.
The next info webinar will be on March 18th at 10am.
I'll be graduating in July. After talking to some of the recruiters I was told most likely I won't get picked because of the timeline. Your license has to be posted prior to the start date which is August 18th. But I will still try 🙃
I am an internal candidate, BSN applicant. Good luck to all!

Yes, my NUID is the same format. I printed the form out and was then going to make it a pdf to send back, because I usually have issues filling out forms on my computer for whatever reason. Is there a place to fill it out online instead?

I believe so, if you scan the QR code that came with the inital NEO email. I was under the impression that is the form we submit, but im not entirely sure tbh haha. What form were you talking about?

I was just told to send the filled out union card to the email it has listed! Kind of misleading by having e-fax in there but just send it to the email that is provided!!

NUID is a letter followed by 6 numbers. Employee ID is a whole different number. Mine is only 6 numbers and completely different from NUID, but someone said it was asking for something with 8 numbers and that's confusing. You will need to memorize your NUID and employee ID. I wrote mine in a post it and stocked it inside my badge until I memorized it. You're going to need those two numbers memorized, you'll use the a lot for you HR connect and KP learn modules. I clock in using my employee id. If you have it, you can use any phone to clock in by dialing 1000 and following the prompts. They don't explain any of this at NEO 😪.
BTW any internal hire that's redoing NEO? I heard you have to, even if you did in the last two years. I just finished by BSN and applied this week for the fall cohort (crossing fingers).
Super excited for all new grad hires! You're going to love working at KP! I've only worked at UC and KP and love both, but KP has my heart!

For anyone already in the program, can you give us interview tips like what type of questions were asked? Also what is the compensation? thank you guys!
interview questions and style may vary depending on the unit & location! For instance, I read that some locations had group interviews that lasted most of the day, where as my interview was panel style with the unit manager, clinical nurse educator, a preceptor, and then myself. I was asked about 8 or 9 questions like: why kaiser, why this unit, some of the "tell me about a time when..." questions, and then a couple clinical questions (not sure if every unit does this, but my interview was for l&d. maybe they only asked questions like this because it's a specialty unit?)
the pay for kaiser sdmc is $58.02 and then nights have a $4.50 differential. this value may also depend on location!

this is super helpful information! thank you 🙂
For those who got into the residency program, could you please share what documents you submitted besides your resume and cover letter? I am applying for the third time and August will mark one year since I graduated nursing school. I would really appreciate any tips on how to write a strong letter or anything else that helped you stand out. Thank you.
