Members are discussing receiving offer letters for various nursing positions at different medical centers in locations such as Anaheim, Woodland Hills, San Diego Medical Center, and West LA. Some members have received offers for Labor and Delivery (L&D) units, while others are still waiting to hear back about Medical Surgical (MedSurg) positions. There is also discussion about contacting HR for updates on offers, with some members experiencing delays in communication.
Starting a thread for those applying to KP So Cal for the August 2025 cohort.
The next info webinar will be on March 18th at 10am.
I'll be graduating in July. After talking to some of the recruiters I was told most likely I won't get picked because of the timeline. Your license has to be posted prior to the start date which is August 18th. But I will still try 🙃
I am an internal candidate, BSN applicant. Good luck to all!

I am applying for the third time and August will mark one year since I graduated nursing school. I would really appreciate any tips on how to write a strong letter or anything else that helped you stand out. Thank you.
I also submitted strong letter of recs from professors and preceptors in the specialty I applied for. What I think stood out about my cover letter was that I wrote about specific experiences. They can see what you have done on your resume, no need to talk about it on your cover letter. I wrote about strong patient connection and advocacy experiences in my cover letter. I'm glad you're still persevering. Finding a new grad job is so tough, but trust that you will end up where you are meant to. Good luck❤️

I also submitted a couple letters of recommendation, any certificates/licenses (BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, medical assistant or CNA, fetal heart monitoring, etc., anything that helps you stand out), transcripts, diploma. For the cover letter, you want it to be genuine and personal. You don't need to repeat what's on your resume, they don't want to read that twice. You could talk about an experience you had that reinforced your "why nursing" while tying in some of the values that Kaiser has and telling them why you would be the best candidate to help them maintain those values.
Hi Guys,
don't lose hope! I got accepted into New Grad July 2025 cohort. I must say it's pretty intense and you need to commit with all required assignment , training, meeting and preceptorship... its a 12-month commitment program... but its all worthwhile... they have a pretty good program..
I was in your shoes before.. got rejected 2x and never gave up... just keep applying and if ever, you get selected for an interview. Just be yourself! No need to practice! Answer each questions with all your best critical thinking and knowledge. KP is a great place to work and they have great benefits! Once you're in, there's a lot more opportunities.
Goodluck fellow Nurses 🥰
ps have an organized portfolio with you to show them your credentials!

I submitted resume, cover letter, 2 letter of recs, BLS and ACLS, BSN degree and A.S degree. I had a whole portfolio of everything. They said I was more than prepared and a very strong candidate.
