Hello everyone! I didn't see this topic on the forum, so I'll create this for anyone else who is planning to apply to Kaiser's New Residency Program. Good luck!!

@TATI-LVN2RN I applied for south sac, and my friend applied for greater Sacramento and we both got an invite to interview.

What time's did you guys get the interview invites yesterday and today? I'm wondering if they send out the invites throughout the day or all at one time.

Yeah I have my BSN with honors, passed my NCLEX, been an LVN FOREVER and have ACLS/PALS. but I did go back and look at my app and for some reason all my file uploads aren't marked as relevant! ?♀️
but I haven't really heard of anyone applying to sac getting interviews except the two on here.. oh well next time!
So... that's it? No more interview invites? ?

Aw my first choice was Santa Clara but I got an interview for the East Bay haha! It's too bad we couldn't have ranked our choices so they could give us interviews based on preference. Maybe if we both get the job we can switch Fremont/Santa Clara hahaha
It may be that the department managers review and pick who they want to interview. At least I know they do that with external applicants for regular positions. For internal they go by seniority, but not for this program I am sure they have to have blended.
Congratulations! to everyone for applying and just keep on applying to everything you qualify for.

I haven't seen anyone say they got emails for wc yet so like someone else mentioned I wonder if it's based on the location and whomever is in charge of selecting the candidates for interviews, which explains the differences in times and days the emails are going out.
I'm trying to remain positive, but in the meantime I've been applying to jobs internally for transfer. I also saw on the internal job boards lots of specialty department positions (38 emails in one day) stating they will train for that department and no experience is required. It still says 6 months acute, but not department-specific/specialty experience. After the internal posting period, they'll be on the external site. So for those interested in L&D, ICU, and OR, be on the lookout for those postings! It's worth a try at least!

Would the title say specialty department or RN II?

Hello,
some of them say "specialty unit staff RN- labor and delivery" or "Staff Nurse II - specialty training - operating room (or specific department)” if you search "specialty training" in the job search once they go external, you will see them all for multiple locations. I saw ones for Bay Area, modesto, and some so cal. ? it is quite a lot especially for L&D Oakland!
