Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I took the nclex yesterday, and had all 265 questions. Alot of infection control questions, bunch of priority questions, and about 10 SATA, and 3 computation questions, and oh yea, alot of medication questions, and it was pretty specific. on most of the questions, I was able to narrow it down to two choices, and I know I guessed on alots of them, at the same time, I know i got most of them correct. I dont know what to expect anymore. Has anyone taken the test recently passed with 265 questions?????????????????

i know its a long shot, but do u remember any specific question? the reason i ask is bc im preparing for the test now, will take it in a couple of months, and im talking to people who have recently taken it like within the last couple of days and they are saying the questions were worded funny or weird. and they are saying it was extremely hard but reading your post gives me hope especially since you say u were able to narrow it down to two choices and felt like you got most of them correct. how did u prepare for this test? anything else you can think of as far as pointers will be greatly appreciated. and congrats!!!

thanks

You have the same chance of passing or failing with 265 questions. I passed my PN boards with the max amount of questions and failed on my first attempt for RN with 265. So it can go either way. I also know ppl who got 265 and also passed. Have you tried the PVT trick to maybe calm your nerves?

Hi born leader, For the test, I prepared by taking the Hurst Review class, and just doing questions in the Kaplan book. I did about 3000 questions. know your medications, and what their side effects (SSRI, MOAs, ace inhibitors, etc), just the common ones. I think Hurst is good if you want review of the content, but kaplan is better for answering questions. There is mneumoic for studying infection control (my chicken has tb, etc) which is good to study, you can get that from this site. Again, there were alot of priority questions, (ex, what you would do first, which patient you will see first, what will you assess first, etc.) good luck, you will do fine.

My friend took the N-CLEX a few months ago and got all 265 questions and she passed. There is plenty of hope for you! :) Just try and relax for the next day or so (I say try, because I know it's hard. I just got done waiting...) and do something fun just for you! You deserve it!! Good luck!! :)

Try the pearson vue trick if you get good pop up about you can't register this is an indication that you passed. If it let you go to the credit card page this means you didn't pass.

I took my test today and it stopped at 75 questions. I also thought the answers could be narrowed down to 2. I didn't think the questions were "worded weird". Pretty straight forward.
