Help! Failed NCLEX five times, out of school for 9 years
I would recommend Hurst review. You can listen to lectures anytime you want, and study any time with their online videos. Its great for content review. After reviewing all the content few times, see if you can lecture on that material. If You can lecture on it, you can pass it. And finally, do many questions as possible. I used Vipra med, ncsbn extension, lecharity book, kaplan book, and did many questions as possible. Lecharity book is great and ncsbn is good too, and I would recommend doing thiese few weeks before actual exam. You can do this, You will pass.

Took NCLEX this morning...
You passed. First time I took the nclex, it took me to cc page, and I failed. Second time, I got the good pop up and I passed. PVT worked for me.
-
Will be taking the Nclex for the second time
I agree, hurst review book is excellent for content review. Do many questions before your second attempt. I was in the same boat, first time, i had 265 questions, and second attemt i had like 140 questions. You will pass this test.

OMG, i cant believe it, I passed
I liked ncsb. I just did the questions, didnt review the material.

OMG, i cant believe it, I passed
Thanks. This is how I prepared. This was my second try, and I used these resources: Hurst review, Vipra med, Lecharity book, Kaplan book, ncsbn extension, and did saunders application questions only. I did not do the case studies in lecharity book, but studied all questions in chapters 1-18. Lecharity book is great to study for nclex type questions. and Hurst is excellent for content review. I really feel like Hurst was a good for content review. I didnt do kaplan, cuz i couldnt afford it. Before I sat for my second try, I did about 6000 questions, and reviewed hurst content cover to cover. I dont think nclex was hard at all. yes, some questions were out of the world, but overall, it was not that bad. Prepare yourself, and you will be fine. The most imporant things I can tell you are: Know your basic lab values, know major diseases covered in nursing school, know major medications, know neumonic for infection control, my chicken hs TB, etc....i had alot of question on these, KNOW THEM. and practice, practice, practice nclex questions. On the day of the test, relax, and dont be nervous at all. Take your time on each nclex question, and use the process of elimination to eliminate two right away, then read the question again to identifiy anwser. Just remember you are not trying to get all of them right.

Try to relax, and you will be fine. I know exactly how you feel, Im kinda in the same boat, took my rn-nclex two days ago, and felt the same way going in and coming out, and still waitig for results, just hoping i pass. Best advice i can give you is relax and take ur time with each question, dont feel rushed or nervous at any time.

saunders???
anyone used saunders to study, if so which questions should I focus on. there are over 4,000 questions on cd, which contains analysis, comprehension, and application questions. HOwever, there are over 4,000 more questions on the content area, and other areas. Are they same, or different, if so, which ones should I study, helP??

Pearson Vue Trick - Does it Work Every Time? Part 2
I want to know if the PVT works If i registered over the phone. So, here is my story. Initially I registered online, created my username, password and paid the fees. However, couple days later, i found out that transaction did not go through, so I called their 800 number, and registered over the phone, and provided all my information over the phone. So, my question is will the PVT work for me, if I use the username and password I had created for my first transaction. I have been entering that username, and passord, and its taking me to the credit card page, indicating I failed. I just wanted to know if someone knows anything about this. Thanks bunch and good luck to all who will be writing this exam.

just took Rn-nlcex
Hi born leader, For the test, I prepared by taking the Hurst Review class, and just doing questions in the Kaplan book. I did about 3000 questions. know your medications, and what their side effects (SSRI, MOAs, ace inhibitors, etc), just the common ones. I think Hurst is good if you want review of the content, but kaplan is better for answering questions. There is mneumoic for studying infection control (my chicken has tb, etc) which is good to study, you can get that from this site. Again, there were alot of priority questions, (ex, what you would do first, which patient you will see first, what will you assess first, etc.) good luck, you will do fine.

just took Rn-nlcex
I took the nclex yesterday, and had all 265 questions. Alot of infection control questions, bunch of priority questions, and about 10 SATA, and 3 computation questions, and oh yea, alot of medication questions, and it was pretty specific. on most of the questions, I was able to narrow it down to two choices, and I know I guessed on alots of them, at the same time, I know i got most of them correct. I dont know what to expect anymore. Has anyone taken the test recently passed with 265 questions?????????????????
