  1. I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this but I am a nurse who was recently a patient in the ER and treated horribly. I am interested in telling my story in the right forum and am new to Allnurses. I attempted to write an article but it cut me off at so many characters. Does anyone know of a forum on allnurses that would be a good fit for this? Thanks !
  2. As soon as I got my result that I passed I had to come on here and share my true belief about the PV trick! I'm a true believer! I failed my first 2 attempts and both times was able to go to the credit card page immediately after taking it. This time I got the good pop up and found out today that I indeed did pass. I was such a skeptic ! YAY!
  3. Worked for me!!! Congrats to everyone that passed. I failed the last time and it let me go all the way to the cc page, and this time when I passed I got the good pop up so I am def. sharing this little secret with all my fellow nclex takers. I'm a true believer!
  4. You have the same chance of passing or failing with 265 questions. I passed my PN boards with the max amount of questions and failed on my first attempt for RN with 265. So it can go either way. I also know ppl who got 265 and also passed. Have you tried the PVT trick to maybe calm your nerves?
  5. Well I attempted my 3rd try at the NCLEX RN Thursday. I took it at 1pm, so my results aren't up yet and I guess the WI BON only updates their website every wednesday. The first 2 times I took the test, when I tried the PVT trick it let me go all the way to the cc page. This time, I got the good pop-up, So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it works! I will definitely be updating everyone. I don't want to be the first that proves this trick wrong.
  6. The number of questions you get has nothing to do with pass or fail. You have the same chances either way. I know people who had 120 questions and passed, and others that failed. But I do know that being a 3 time test taker, the first couple times I took the test I barely got any SATA and quite a few easier end questions. Usually if you keep getting harded questions it's usually a good sign that you are answering the questions at a higher level. Either way, ppl either pass or fail on only 50% Keep your head up!! Either way you will eventually get through! Have you tried the pv trick? Good luck to you!!!!
  7. Great!!! Hope to hear from you!! I haven't been able to get off this website since I took the exam. haha. Reading everyone's experiences definitely gives a peace of mind :)
  8. Thanks caliotter3! Do you believe in the pearson vue trick? and have you already taken your NCLEX exam? I took the LPN NCLEX 3 years ago and did fine. Now to just conquer the RN!!!
  9. Hey kgh! Thanks for the message! Apparently I do not have access to private messaging because I have not put up enough posts. I really hope the PVT trick worked and I passed! Do you believe it's true? LaCharity is definitely harder than the NCLEX I was ranging in the 70's percent wise on each test. But I believe it def. helped me when I finally took the test again. Go through the WHOLE book and you will feel alot more confident when those questions arise on the NCLEX. Also Infection Control were basically PPE questions. and what isolation precautions you would use. Hope that helps! Thanks for the support!
  10. I will cross my fingers for you and me both!!! I also took the exam today and also got the good pop up!!!!!
  11. I also took exam today and tried the PV trick one hour after I took the exam and got the same pop-up! Let's hope this trick works and I also passed!!!!! Congrats!
  12. Well, I finally attempted my 3rd try at the infamous NCLEX RN exam TODAY! The first time I got 78 questions and failed, second time 110 and this time between 120-150. Not sure exact number and of course I'm aware that the number of questions you answer has no significance if you passed or failed. What i do know is that I tried the pearsonvue trick the second time I failed and it let me go all the way and pay with the credit card. This time I tried an hour after I took the test, and the site said my results were delivered successfully. And I got the "so-called" good pop-up. I really hope this trick is true! I have been doing nothing but studying for the past year since I have been out of nursing school and definitely know I deserve to finally conquer this monster of a test! I believe the kaplan , saunders, and lacharity books were a tremendous help! I got lots and lots of infectious disease, prioritizing, a few delegation, lots of SATA one dosage calc, lots of med questions. The first 2 times I took it I barely got any SATA or infections disease, just a couple. Anyone out there have any feedback to give me a peace of mind? How accurate do you believe the pearsonvue trick is? And the fact that I had mostly higher end questions, does it make sense that I was doing well? I have been religiously going on this site for other people's stories and inspiration. Thanks for everyone that has shared their experiences!!
  13. First time I took RN NCLEX got 75 questions, my last question right and failed. So the last question right and 75 questions isn't always the case. Good luck to you all!
  14. Hello all! I am scheduled to take my Nclex RN in about 2 weeks. This is the 3rd time I'm taking it and I have been studying for the past 3 months with kaplan, saunders ,exam cram and LaCharity Prioritizing, Delegating and Assignments. When I purchased Kaplan and started reading it, I started looking at the NCLEX in a whole different way. Learning to look at the questions differently and understanding the strategies of the test as a whole etc. Anyone out there who has also taken the test and have any advice? I'm starting to feel a little more confident, but still feel as though I'll never be prepared. How do you prepare for the select all that apply questions ? Any suggestions on sites for studying infection control? I'm hoping the 3rd time is a charm! thanks for your help!
  15. Thanks for the great response West! All those things you mentioned I studied and memorized. And of course when I got to the test, nothing I had really worked hard at studying or remembering was asked. So that was frustrating. I will definitely check out that prioritization book because that is where I think I was weak in and it seemed like the majority of the questions I got on the test were that. I have saunders 4th edition, which I will continue to use. I have a feeling that the main thing I need to focus on is the actual "taking" of the test. I feel like I end up rushing through the questions, instead of breaking them all down. Thanks again for all your suggestions and support! And please continue to respond!
