Just took NCLEX RN, stopped at 265!!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hi everyone!! I just got done with the NCLEX RN and it ended at the full 265 questions. I thought it was never going to end! The first time I took it I stopped at 75 and failed. The suspense is killing me! #263 was a priority question, #264 was a SATA about abuse and the last question was what a 7month old would do! Any advice would be awesome and much appreciated.

First off, congratulations on passing the NCLEX! The fact that you went 265 questions simply means ONE thing and that is simply that you were on the bubble between passing and failing from about question 15 through the end of the exam. That's it! The fact that you passed means that you met passing criteria rules for reaching the end of the exam.

I must congratulate you for sticking it out and doing your best through the entire length of the exam. It's easy to mentally shut-down when the computer keeps going after question 75. Expect to go the 265 and if it shuts-down before that, or even at 75, great! You have more time in your day to go do stuff to de-stress.

I also did Kaplan n failed with 75 the decision tree didn't work for me am thinking of repeating the Kaplan classesx but this time I got the PDA book by la-charthy and am I don't know if you got ur ATT before the 45 days thus my fear now I wanted to also test exactly 45 days. I'm sorry, I'd like to help but I can't understand what you're writing here. For those of us who like punctuation, LOL, could you post again what you want to know? :)

Ok am sorry. My question is, I want to retest in exactly 45 days but I don't know if the board of nursing ll give me the ATT before the 45 days, my board of nursing is California, any idea i really wanted to retest before December end. But am just confuse if they ll give me the ATT that I prepare whiles waiting for the 45 days policy

Thanx for ur concern

Ok, gotcha. While I don't know specifically how CA handles this (I'm sure someone from Cali can help with that), generally speaking, it is 45 days before an application to retest can be approved. From getting authorization to test until scheduling a date is hugely variable, as it depends on the time of year and the testing center's volume. PV handles many other professional licensing exams, not just NCLEX, so it can be hit-and-miss on the scheduling.

Anyway, unless CA does something quite different of which I'm unaware, you shouldn't expect to receive the ATT until it has been 45 days. Theoretically, having the ATT means you can test that very day (if available) and you are not allowed under NCLEX rules to test PRIOR to 45 days. Hope that helps.

Ok, I appreciate that info, thanx
