Just took my boards....

Published

Hello all.

I just took my boards on yesterday (Feb 22, 2005) My computer shut off at 89. My very first question was a med calculation. I only had 1 math, 1 select all that apply, and all the rest were multiple choice. So my question to all of you is when do the tears stop falling? :crying2: I feel like a failed. It was harder than I thought if thats even possible. I have heard from other people that the results can take up to 2 weeks. Well I hope this has helped anyone who is about to take the boards. Good luck to you all.

Congrats on passing!!! I was going to tell you that from everything I've read about and what we were told by the NCLEX people who came to speak to our class, you SHOULD walk away feeling like it was the MOST difficult exam you've ever taken and that you didn't do well. This is because if you have all easy questions, there is a good chance your competency level is low. If you think the exam was super hard, there is a good chance you did well because you were answering the questions correctly, therefore, the questions kept getting more and more difficult. That is the thing about computer-aided testing. It's able to adapt to YOUR particular ability.

Congratulations again on passing....I can only hope to be posting the same in June!!!!

Hello,

Thank you for the info. Trust me when your day comes everything you have been told about the NCLEX goes out the window LOL. I walked out of that exam feeling that I was too stupid to pass that exam. I did already know what you said about the computer adaptation...I swear when your comes the beat advice I can give is PRAY to whatever God you believe in but just pray. I know you will do fine. Study all those NCLEX books and consider Kaplan. I took Kaplan and I feel it helped me pass. Take care of yourself and even though it's months away I would love to help you in ANY way I can and please let me know the out come.

Take care,

Jennifer RN

I hope your right. I took my test today 2/28. I took all 265 so I can honestly say that I'm having a nervous breakdown

Hello,

I am sure you did fine. It is in God's hands now. Just take a deep breath and relax...or at least try to. Spend time with family, go out to dinner, rent movies. Just do your best to keep busy....and keep the faith! Let me know how it goes.

Take care,

Jennifer RN
