do the diagnostic first. if you get b/t 60-65%, it's good sign. High 50s are not bad I hear. Then do ALL the Qtrainers 1 through 7. All of them; you want your score b/t 60-65% in qbanks and qtrainers; higher the better of course. Then do all the Qbank questions if you can, maybe 100/day or so. Also don't forget the Readiness test after doing all banks and trainers. Review ALL the rationales and write down the ones you need to remember, and google things you're not familiar with (like cane use or etc) and write them down. Study hard!
thank you!!!! so much for your reply I've been going crazy. I ordered the Kaplan qbank and the book for $150 total with taxes I get to practice for 3 months I hope that's the same one you're talking about...... if so I did the diagnostic test Rodat I scored 56 percent just seems vEry low with Saunders and exam cram I was doing 70's to 80's
the one i used was on kaplan website and it had 7 qtrainers and 1000+ qbank questions, diagnostic and readiness test plus couple qbank sample tests. I'm pretty sure it's the same thing. BTW, I used the Saunders also and got 70s-80s but with Kaplan it is a different ball game. Mid to high 60s was considered a GOOD grade lol. make sure you do everything on kaplan; they really help. Oh, and unless the Kaplan tree helps, do not use that crap lol

(Note - this is just what has been working for me and what I've heard! May not be the same for you.)
Don't be super concerned about the questions score. I know people who scored in the 50s and passed boards. Look at the decision tree and figure out how to answer the questions. If you know how to answer them you can nearly always (in my experience) come to the correct response.
Look at where you're weak in. Is it OB? SATA? Infection control? Then look at the content videos from Kaplan and add Saunders as needed.
Saunders is great for content, I think. Kaplan is lacking a bit in that regard. Saunders questions are super easy by comparison to the Nclex.
Thank u so much Ashley and tarot I appreciate your advice so much .....im defintely going to use it I plan on testing in August right before fall classes begin I'm currently in summer school taking my pre reqs for my RN I have to make sure I pass before full time classes begin I don't want to have too much on my plate lol Thanks everyone :-) I feel a lot better with your responses......

The diagnostic test really is more of a guide of your strengths and weaknesses and where to focus for future testing.
Qbank questions should have a cumulative average of 60% or better.
The Qtrainer tests 1-5 should be striving for 65% or better
The Qtrainer tests 6-7 should be striving for 60% or better.
Readiness test should be 60% or better
all according to Kaplan's book and from the Kaplan live class instructor
