Hey everyone, I want to share my story because some of you may be in the same situation. I took the NCLEX with the new COVID rules: 60 questions min, 130 max. After 60 questions, the test kept going. It went all the way to 130 questions. When I got home, I received the email from Pearson, waited an hour, and tried the Pearson Vue Trick. I got the bad pop up message in which the site allowed me to register for another exam. I tried the trick several hours later and got the bad pop up again. I was devastated. Two days later, I got the Quick Results and found out that I had actually passed. Apparently, there is a gray area for the Pearson Vue Trick: if you take the exam and make it all the way to the end, the trick may not be accurate. It wasn’t accurate for me. If you’re in the same situation, keep your head up. All is not lost.

Also, my state board did not post my license number before my quick results were available. I understand it’s cheaper, quicker, and more accurate to check your license status on the state board, but this is why I did not do so.

Good luck everyone!

I put the correct details and it took my money

I’ve heard of people paying and they’ve passed. So they lost the $200.

True!

I figure either I lose $200 or it goes towards next exam. I also do not care at this point haha. I don't think I did the pearson trick for my LPN several years ago and I honestly would highly discourage anyone else from using it. Just wait for the quick results (48 hours from test). I was in the same boat previously after taking LPN boards, I was almost 100% certain I failed, maxed out questions, and some how miraculously passed. I just don't think I'm going to be so lucky this time.

I hit like 120 on LPN and waited for the quick results didn’t do PVT. passed on first attempt. But this test was not at all what I studied for I had like 50 SATA. The rest were ethical and administrative crap stuff I didn’t study for. Hardly any disease process. I did have a couple pedi and infection control.

I felt fairly confident going into exam based on questions I had practiced and what I had reviewed. My test was geared more towards post-op surgical and inf dx. I also had a lot of SATA. It's challenging because you never know what you will get more tested heavily on. I studied wayy more for this test then I did for my LPN (and had also passed first attempt). I heard as of this year that 40% of NCLEX is now SATA and that supposedly for some (not all) you get partial credit if you did not select all the right answers depending on what answers you selected.

I was confident going in also studied UWorld was averaging 75% and then I saw the test and it didn’t make sense. The answers were also very confusing nothing like UWorld.

I got all 130 questions as well and got the good pop up. does this mean I passed? I am so stressed!

You most likely passed if you received the good popup. I tested 5/27 did PVT 1 hour after test and got the good popup. I didn't have to pay for quick results because my board posted my license & emailed me my license document 3 hours before I could buy quick results.
