Hey everyone, I want to share my story because some of you may be in the same situation. I took the NCLEX with the new COVID rules: 60 questions min, 130 max. After 60 questions, the test kept going. It went all the way to 130 questions. When I got home, I received the email from Pearson, waited an hour, and tried the Pearson Vue Trick. I got the bad pop up message in which the site allowed me to register for another exam. I tried the trick several hours later and got the bad pop up again. I was devastated. Two days later, I got the Quick Results and found out that I had actually passed. Apparently, there is a gray area for the Pearson Vue Trick: if you take the exam and make it all the way to the end, the trick may not be accurate. It wasn’t accurate for me. If you’re in the same situation, keep your head up. All is not lost.

Also, my state board did not post my license number before my quick results were available. I understand it’s cheaper, quicker, and more accurate to check your license status on the state board, but this is why I did not do so.

Good luck everyone!

How long did it take you all to receive your ATT?? I am part of the lucky group that was able to finish our RN program even though Covid has been going on, but am still waiting on my ATT..

Thanks,

EKGirl

I am not sure what state you are in, however, I graduated on May 15th and received my ATT on the 21st! I hope you get yours soon because dates are very limited!

I'm in California.. How about you?

I’m in California it took 4 weeks to get my letter

@Diana Mosley

How do you know which questions are simple vs difficult? Mines were simple to but it doesn't mean it will be simple for the next tester. Sick of this test.

So when you got the bad pop up did it let you pay the $200?

It's takes you a month to test regardless minimum depending on how quickly you get your paper work in. When I scheduled mine a few weeks ago.. there was a gap in there not because of c-19 it was because there were no slots... It takes 10-15 days for your state to process your paper work and another 10-15 days for pearson to process

What people don't tell you the testing center isn't all NCLEX.. people are in there taking ..GRE, mcat, lsat ,regular test for what ever college they go to online. You don't start and end as a group. People are constantly coming and going in the room

So basically the testing center is renting out seats. When you finally get your att...a calendar is going to pop up and if it's not greyed out you can pick that day and choose the time.

Get what ever date is available and check every day and you can switch your date ,because days open up. Some one taking a mcat may decide they arent ready and cancel one day and you can get thier slot

I graduated 5/20/20, got my att on 5/26/2020. So it doesn’t always take that long to clear your state and Pearson vue. If you keep checking. Spots open up for earlier dates to test for NCLEX. That’s just my experience.

Hi there,

I took my RN nursing boards for the first time yesterday (5/29/20). I did not feel great about exam. Prior to taking exam I had completed at least 1700 qbank and in addition to that two trainers on Kaplan. I also did two of the adaptive CAT exams on nurse achieve where I was scoring at passing level. Anyways I got all 130 questions (which is current max d/t covid), and did the pearson vue trick where it processed my payment (I put correct card info and exp. date) and it re-registered me, which I hear is a bad sign. All of my other former classmates got the good sign so I'm hoping I'm one of those rare incidences where you get the bad sign and pass, but I'm feeling like it is not likely. I'll know Monday for sure with quick results, but needless to say until then I am very anxious.

I’m in the same boat! ?? I hope I find out tomorrow

I'm sorry it's a tough spot to be in. Lost my appetite and I'm just a nervous/anxious wreck, which is not normal for me. I feel like the chances are slim that I passed, but from reading this initial post maybe because I maxed out questions the trick does not work as effectively as it does with others, but who knows. NCLEX is tough and no single exam is the same. And unfortunately if you are weak in a certain area the computer knows and will give you more questions and chances to answer it right and just the overall difficulty can vary throughout testing depending how your answering questions.

Honestly the thought of waiting 45 days to re-test is daunting and having to study all over again. But I know there are worse things. I just know if I did not pass that this has really lit a fire under me and making me even more determined to pass and study even more for the next time. So don't lose hope because at least we are able to re-test if we did not pass.
