Just Kill ME!

So...I'm about to take my final exams in April - and be done with nursing school!! YAY. But - the instructors keep harping on and on about applying for jobs now, and getting our resume out there NOW...NOW NOW NOW. My classmates and I have been trying like crazy. Not getting anywhere. Duh. we don't have a license yet! They say to call back when you have your license - then when you get your license they say - you need tohave it for a year. What's up with that? That's what I experienced with my LPN also. The market here for new grads is so flooded I'm afraid I'll never get a job. I work as Extern now, and even they don't have positions to transition into...yikes. I'm just frustrated...thanks for listening. I'll keep buying Ramen noodles I guess!!!

I'm so sorry! From my experience it is a full-time job trying to get a job. Where are you living right now? I wish you luck and don't give up!

I live in Phoenix :)

I wont give up - thanks!

I was getting concerned, because the area I'm in there are several hiring freezes. So, I sent out resumes to the hospitals, explaining that I was looking for a job to gain experience in the hospital setting prior to becoming a nurse. I got a job as a "nurse assistant" and will be working there after graduation....it's such a relief! good luck!
