What quotes or sayings do you tell your self when there are bad days in nursing school?
Mind would be "God brought me to it, he'll bring me through it"
Well...one time as a new endoscopy nurse I was so worried during a trauma endoscopy when the clip nicked an artery all I could see on the monitor was gushing blood, I was busy with boluses and prbcs while my favorite gastroenterologist was so calm try to clip the artery. I think he felt kinda sorry for me looking allcrazy trying to multi task when he blurted out "Nurse E, all bleeding eventually stops one way or the other"! I bust out laughing and suddenly I was calm:-)
Lies get people into trouble, but honesty is its own defense.
A woman is like a tea bag- you never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water.
Whoever gossips to you will gossip about you
Live in such a way that you would not be ashamed to sell your parrot to the town gossip.
Nothing is permanent in this wicked world - not even our troubles.
Stress is an ignorant state. It believes that everything is an emergency. Nothing is that important.
When I was in nursing school one of my instructors used to tell the class two things one was to "Act Like A Nurse Now" so when you become a RN the only difference will be that you have a License! The second thing was that "One Time Is Enough"!!! Meaning to study hard now so we can take the N-CLEX 1 TIME!!! It worked for me and I did it and you can too!!!
