Just had my first interview! Wasn't asked any questions

Had my first interview at kindred transitional and rehabilitation. The interviewee was the DON for the facility. I was expecting to get bombarded with several interview questions, but instead she just told me about the facility, the position, the pay amount and asked me to choose 2 references out of the three that she would call. She didn't really allow me to speak. And sent me on my way and said that she would be calling back In two days. Freaking out what does these mean for me and has anyone ever have this happen to them?

I had a similar interview with a rehab place. Gave me a tour, told me about the job, and that they were nervous to hire a new grad (why call me then?!) and they only asked me one question. I walked out feeling like I had wasted my time and gas, but I got a call a few days later offering me the position. So, there ya go. Finger crossed for you it's the same!

Ah, yes, the "non-interview". I've had one of those. To me it was funny because at the end of the "interview" the manager told me that based on my responses I was a very strong candidate. Most of my responses were just nods.

Every interview I have had like that resulted in me getting the position. I believe they are simply wanting to get eyes on you to make sure you have two arms and two legs. Dress and act the part, and you get the job.

I'm a huge fan of this type Of interview, since I have terrible interview skills. Good luck.

I agree -- to me, this is an indication of an employer that is only interested in a "warm body." Does not reflect well on the employer, IMO. I would have serious reservations about taking the job after this kind of interview experience.

:facepalm: I am sorry but what do us nurses want? We complain when we get too long of an interview with too many questions and too many applicants, and yet we complain when we get too few questions or not any ( and I will bet there were questions asked but you did not even realize that they were questions). So when someone makes up their moind on what we want please let me know.
