Lawrence my case has been complete nearly 4 weeks PD Jun 05 do you believe i have a good chance of an interview before end of fiscal year
It really depends on what will happen in the coming visa bulletins. If the June VB at least stays as it is (March 1, 2006) then with a June 2005 PD you have a good chance and if I'm not mistaken the US Embassy in the UK doesn't have a long line for appointments either compared to the US Embassy in Manila.
Thanks Lawrence, you are right UK embassy is a lot quicker our problem is waiting for our case to be forwarded that has been nearly 4 weeks the NVC say it will be forwarded within 8 weeks of completion so we hope that is the case once it gets to London they generate an interview pretty quicklyIt really depends on what will happen in the coming visa bulletins. Hi topscot,
A word of warning for you......once the London Embassy has your file, keep calling for an update, keep them on their toes. I have a family member who has had her file completed since September 2006, it's been there at the London Embassy since then, and she really should have got an interview last summer, but the embassy messed up big time and she missed out.
The UK Embassy might be quicker than most, but they are not always very efficient, they DO drop the ball occassionally.
Anyway, hope you hear something soon :)

It has to get there first but i have learned throughout this process to keep nagging people to get them to make sure everything is correct but as soon as i hear it has been forwarded i will be on their case every day we are so desperate to get to USA this year.:nuke:
This is the official Visa Bulletin for June 2008
http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_4231.html
E. EMPLOYMENT THIRD PREFERENCE VISA AVAILABILITY
Demand for numbers, primarily by Citizenship and Immigration Services Offices for adjustment of status cases, is expected to bring the Employment Third preference category very close to the annual numerical limit in June. As a result, this category is likely to experience retrogressions or visa unavailability beginning in July. Such action would only be temporary, however, and a complete recovery of the cut-off dates would occur for October, the first month of the new fiscal year.
There are still many more applicants than there are visas available, so there is going to be a retrogression for sometime, there is no way for it to become current for all countries.
And as we have been stating all along here, expect that the PD dates would retrogress at some point in time, there was a fast forward, if you wish to call it that, just to get thru a bunch of files that were sitting there and make use of visa numbers that were available.
But has it changed anything really? No, and do not expect it to, especially with the 800,000 thrown into the equation from last summer.

Starting the fiscal year of October 2007 only EB1 and EB2 have been current. Which AOS applications does this mean?
