What are other people feeling about the exam today? I don't have a great feeling at all!
I tried calling a few times to find out what the story is...and to see if I'll still be able to register for the October exam if I don't pass since waiting 8 weeks will put me 2 weeks past the deadline. I also want to know if they will let me keep working or not. But no answer and no returned calls this week. Hopefully I can get some answers next week.
I've been studying the trend of the exam and the results from last year. You'll see the exact pattern ( this is for Nova Scotia only, not sure if this applies to other provinces ) The exam has been conducted WEDNESDAYS, and the RESULTS come out MONDAY after the 4 week mark, which means, they send it FRIDAY, then upon receipt of the results from the CNA, they call those who have temporary license who weren't successful. Yesterday I heard news about some people getting calls and emails that they didn't make it, so probably they have mailed it out yesterday too, if that's the case, the results will be received on Monday or within next week the latest. My friend told me that results have always been received MONDAY or FRIDAY, I don't know if that applies to everyone in Nova Scotia. My brother took his last year Feb2013, Wednesday, and received results Monday.
11. What happens if I am not successful in the examination and I hold a temporary licence?
If unsuccessful on the CRNE, the temporary licence is null and void immediately on receipt of the results at the office of the College. You and your employer will be notified immediately by telephone and email if you have not passed the CRNE. You must cease practising as a nurse immediately; and you cannot resume practise until you have re-written and passed the CRNE and have registered/licensed with the College.

Yes, but this is only for Nova Scotia as far as I've seen.

maybe to give themselves a bit more time to mail them out?
