  1. Maybe he is not as sensitive I still didn't get any mail today. However I was able to pay and register for my active practicing RN license today through the AIFA Portal on the CRNNS website.
  2. Are you trying to make your own urban myth? Trying to increase your own anxiety? I read your posts where you called the CRNNS yourself and they gave you the answers you wanted to hear! OMG..take a benzo and have a beer stat!
  3. I am in NS....no mail here today....NOT even a BILL!!
  4. YesI am in NS. From what I have been told all the fail calls have gone out in NS. Pass letters should be in our mail boxes Monday or Tuesday
  5. The "bad" calls are going out! I know of 2 classmates that will have to re-write.
  6. Here is Nova Scotia, grad nurses working under a temporary license will receive a phone call from the CRN that will require the grad nurse to stop working immediately. I have heard that these phone calls can go directly to your employer or to the grad nurse. Soooo...if your working and you don't get the dreaded call. You have passed and will get the proof in the mail the following week.
  7. https://www.crnns.ca/documents/NCLEXRN_FAQs_For_Canadians_August_2013.pdf This is a better link for information about the NCLEX in Canada in 2015
  8. The reality is that the CRNE will no longer be the exam for RN entering practice in Canada. This is from the CRNE website "The 10 provincial/territorial RN regulators have chosen the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) as the provider of the Canadian RN entry-to-practice exam, starting in 2015. This means that the last administration of CNA's exam, the CRNE, will be October 1, 2014. The new entry-to-practice exam in Canada being provided by NCSBN is called the NCLEX-RN." fsrahman made a valid argument. I have looked at one of the NCLEX study guides and the questions seem to be based more on knowledge and application compared to some of the broad communication style questions that the CRNE uses. In my opinion those questions don't measure the competency of a nurse! To be fair and objective, I have compared the passing rate of US educated RN's writing the NCLEX to the passing rate of Canadian educated RN's writing the CRNE and the pass rates are both approximately 85-87%. Second time writers of both the NCLEX and the CRNE have a passing rate around 55%. One final piece interesting fact is that US NCLEX writers can write every 45 days and have no limits on attempts. That would certainly be a less stressful testing environment than Canada's 3 strikes your out. In fact there is a chance that the 3 write rule may evolve as the exam transitions into the hands of the NCSBN. I read that on the frequently asked questions here. 9. In the past there have been 15-18 experimental questions that don't count. So the exam will be scored anywhere with in the range of 182-185. I think we are all scared of not passing. Personally, if I am not successful on this attempt, I will skip the October CRNE and write the NCLEX.
  10. Sorry my mistake...they are equally weighted.
  11. That was 135 questions that I "think" were correct.... From what I was reading on the CRNE website....some questions are worth more than others...and they drop 20 that are experimental. So if the varibles work in my favor I might be happy in 6 weeks.
  12. I just kept track of the questions where I "thought" I choose the correct answer and tallied up 135/200. The rest were a matter of trying to eliminate the obvious wrong distractors and guessing at the answer. I felt like there were to many questions that dealt with how "the nurse should communicate." At this point I don't feel as though I should start my job and waste the the employers money on orientation until I know if I have passed for sure.
  13. What are other people feeling about the exam today? I don't have a great feeling at all!
