June 11-12, 2006 Philippine Nursing Licensure Exam

Goodluck to future nurses!!!

I agree......... I presume that this issues are rising due to other review center concern that there reviewees attending to their review center are going down... Now adays it is very obvious that R.A. Gapuz review center is 75% talk of the mouth review center of a nursing graduate student. am i right?

I did review in R.A.G.R.C but i dont think that we did cheat for it. I was able to take a practice test of the nursing exam since 1996 to 2003, i notice that those there are some questions that are all interrelated and some are always in a cycle.

With the recent board exam questions i know it was just practical and not that bookish enough. But i believe everything is in the book.

With regards to leakage? hahahahha I THINK THAT IS JUST AN AGENDA by OTHERS TO DIVERT or para siraan and RAGRC.... i believe in the integrity of Prof. RAY A. GAPUZ... He is tough enough. very tough guy. is there any review center can do his method of review? hahahahah.. i doughted. One thing if R.A.G.R.C has some questions almost the same to the board exam I think Prof Rey is just that resourcefull enough.

I believe in the integrity of the PRC and the BON. Ewan ko lang sa mga solosong mga review center dyan..... PARANG MGA TOODDLER... BIgyan nalang natin ng LOLLIPOP.

I hope our results will be release accordingly and possible this week. GOD BLESS TO ALL OF US

i took the exam too huhuhu  it's been weeks and i'm sooooo anxious about the results, i reviewed real hard and i wanna work as soon as possible,,,, i can eat much because i dunno if they're gonna repeat the exam or what.... i think that's why many nurses opt to leave the Philippines, because of lies and deceits huh,,,, i really wish the results would come out

actually i dont know why they bring up this issue it doesnt make any sense at all. i myself did review to gapuz and yes there are some pass board question and guidequestion that was provided to us that actually did appear in the board but still i dont think that can make me or my co reviewees to be confident to say that we will pass. remember the deal?an average 0f 75% and a grade that should be not lower than 60%. yes test 5 is easy but why make a big issue about it the first 3 exam is a lot harder (specially test3 and 1 i cant taste my food after i finish the first test).hope we can cut the issue bout this leakage since it only make things worse. its almost 3 weeks and we still dont have the result hope the man behind this conspiricy still sleeps.if only this issue wasnt sensationalize maybe we already have the results of the exam and we can move on with our normal lives whether we pass or not. :angryfire

guess some peeps don't understand that PRC is using a sort of "test bank" wherein every year the members of BON are tasked to add "100 to 300 new questions" each. meaning, some questions might be familiar or exactly the same to the test takers, because not all content of test bank are new questions... meaning, these same questions were used previously na, so review centers had access to them and used it during their reviews... anyway, you should have NO FEAR if you've covered everything in the guidelines from BON... even if some review centers have their 'alleged leaks', if you've prepared for the exam, I'm sure you can still make it to oathtaking day... that's why THE ISSUE OF LEAKS SHOULD REST IN PEACE NA!!!

sorry, but fear & belief of 'tsismis' is for the UNPREPARED test takers only...

in addition...

i'm not a gapuz reviewee ... & i'm not patronizing... but gapuz is a well known 'psych wizard lecturer' in the country... ask your 'lolas' ('lecturers' from other review center they would agree to that)...

so...it wouldn't be a surprise if his patrons will get high score in test 5... test 5 lang huh... not sure with other categories... hehe! =)

i guess you still have no idea/experience about what people can do in the internet. this is a "public place". but very much different from the actual public place, if you know what im saying. we're not concerned about the guy's whole name. maybe just her mom.

anyway, i suggest we just stop talking about this topic as this may lead to more complicated misunderstanding. you see it from a point of view that is very much different from how we see it.

and btw, we're going offtopic here so...

I do know, but you are the one who is going off the topic...

Nurses split on board examination 'leakage'

BAGUIO CITY -- Allegations of test leakages during the recent licensing examinations for nurses have polarized members of the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA).

One PNA official called up deans of Baguio's nursing schools last week to urge them to suppress future complaints against the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and examiners of its Board of Nursing, local PNA chapter members said in a meeting Thursday.

The school officials and chapter members from the Cordillera and Ilocos regions met to discuss legal options after agreeing to join the petition of 91 nursing graduates of Baguio universities that sought to place the examiners of the nursing board under preventive suspension.

Lawyer Cheryl Daytec-Yangot, counsel of the group and sister-in-law of one of the complainants, said they also wanted PRC to delay the release of the test results because of evidence that a nursing review center allegedly distributed documents that revealed the answers to the examinations here on June 11 and 12.

Florence Cawaon, a member of the nursing board last year and dean of the University of Baguio's College of Nursing, said the PNA was wary of a scandal because it would jeopardize negotiations to install an American licensing center in the country.

The affidavits of three of the 91 nursing graduates said examinees wearing jackets with the seal of R.A. Gapuz Review Center shared the documents with their seat-mates on the second exam day. They said the leaked answers proved to be genuine.

School officials said wearing the jackets already violated PRC rules.

Lawyer Roderick Salazar III, counsel for the review center, denied the allegations after they received text messages that implicated them. But he declined further comment until they received a copy of the petition.

Cawaon said the copy of the alleged examination leakage was unusual because the 18-page document was a handwritten outline that provided detailed answers to test questions.

The actual PRC test sheets ask examinees to select the answer from four or five letter options.

"To cheat, it would be simpler to just provide the letters [that correspond to the right answers], but the [alleged] leak is voluminous because it gives out detailed answers," she said.

Except for the fact that the document is handwritten, Cawaon said the alleged test leakage appears to follow the approved PRC test format.

She said she has inhibited herself from joining the PNA Baguio petition against the nursing board because of her PRC ties.

"I am confused right now because I don't know how [the leak] could have happened. It is impossible to smuggle out the questions because all members of the nursing board are sequestered during the nights the tests are conducted," she said.

"We are asked to house ourselves in a secure location, guarded by [National Bureau of Investigation agents] and each of us is tasked to give 300 questions to a test bank, where the final examination questions are selected and processed," Cawaon said.

"The selected questions are downloaded into computer disks that are sealed and carried personally by PRC examiners to exam sites all over the country accompanied by NBI escorts. "They cannot access the questions until PRC releases passwords simultaneously so they can print out the test manuals before they are distributed to examinees."
