Goodluck to future nurses!!!
To projenny.........Hey young lady for your information I do not hate anyone..I was just posting my opinion on this matter, why are you so up in arms about this anyway?Whoever wanted to cheat let them cheat.Cheating will still not make them a good nurse. If that's what really happened guess what it's gonna happen again that's the way it is in our country before u were born.Complaining is just a waste of time and nothing will be done about it if it is true believe me...
In lieu of moping and getting more anxious for the result; I'm thinking of reviewing for CGFNS... I have bought almost ALL of the review books but so lost on where to start... anybody got an idea ?
Simply open the book and read it!!! thats the best thing to do at the moment than doing nothing..............
P.S. what books did u buy? who are the authors? :-)
For the reviewers; Mosby, Lippincot, NSA, and series of "Incredibly Made Easy book by Lippincot,a borrowed CG guide and Saunders.
And I got lots of my textbooks... and that Manual of Nursing Practice !
gosh...I just realized, too much to do and yet here I am searching for news online and craving for ice cream...hehehe...
Hi there!!Dont say full stop!! Just allow them to talk, express what they feeling right now, this are just a form of anxiety, denial...haha.....when the result is released then u will see everybody silent....some might be crying and some might be celebrating the victory and success....
What i would like to advice to all is that....move on....start reviewing for the NCLEX exam....local license is not necessary or is not a pre-requisite to the NCLEX exam.....self review is better than spend a lot of money, time in the review centers....sayang pera....mas maganda self review...
.......and incase u havent watch the movie Superman..........go watch it....nice movie....haha :-)
Godspeed!!
Hi everybody!
Attention to all nurses planning to take the NCLEX:
LOCAL NURSING LICENSE IS A PRE-REQUISITE TO TAKE NCLEX EXAM....THAT IS THE FIRST THING NURSING BOARD HERE IN THE UNITED STATES WILL ASK YOU ONCE YOU LODGE YOUR APPLICATION FOR YOUR NCLEX....WITHOUT YOUR LOCAL LICENSE YOUR APPLICATION WILL NOT BE PROCESSED. MAKE SURE YOUR LOCAL NURSING LICENSE IS NOT EXPIRED. THERE IS A GOOD NEWS THOUGH.......THERE ARE ONLY 4 STATES THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE CGFNS, CALIFORNIA IS ONE OF THOSE STATES BUT LOCAL NURSING LICENSE IS A PRE-REQUISITE TO TAKE NCLEX FOR ALL FOREIGN GRAD NURSES.

oh, i thought local nursing license is not a pre-requisite. does that rule apply to all nclex-giving countries? say.. ill take my nclex in saipan, wud they still require me to show a local license? i had this lil arguement wd my mum over the phone, coz i told her to send me her nclex review books.. then she told me i cant take nclex if i dont pass my nle. but of course, with my knowledge that its no longer required, i told her i dont have to.

May we know where you got this? I thought without a local license is fine to apply for the NCLEX.All the while we're thinking of this, go directly to NCLEX.I hope you can give us enlightenment on this issue.
Thanks.

HI BANJ21
YOUR MOM IS RIGHT. SAIPAN IS JUST ONE OF THE TESTING SITES FOR NCLEX BUT IT DOESNT CHANGE THE REQUIREMENTS TO TAKE NCLEX. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS YOU CAN SEARCH THE INTERNET FOR THE REQUIREMENTS. I TOOK MY NCLEX LAST 2004 IN KENTUCKY UNDER THE CALIFORNIA NURSING BOARD...I WAS SUPPOSED TO APPLY FOR RECIPROCITY TO PRACTICE NURSING IN KENTUCKY BUT THE KENTUCKY BOARD IS ASKING ME TO TAKE CGFNS BECAUSE THAT IS ONE OF THE REQUIREMENTS BEFORE THEY CAN ISSUE ME A KENTUCKY NURSING LICENSE...TOO MUCH HASSLE I JUST DECIDED TO MOVE HERE IN CALIFORNIA AND WAS HAPPY WITH MY DECISSION BECAUSE CALIFORNIA IS ONE OF THE HIGHEST PAYING STATE FOR NURSES....
MY SUGGESTION IS.....SEARCH THE INTERNET AND CHECK THE STATE THAT DOESNT REQUIRE TOO MUCH EXAMS FOR FOREIGN GRAD NURSES...ANYWAYS YOU CAN ALWAYS APPLY HERE FOR RECIPROCITY ONCE YOU ALREADY PASS YOUR NCLEX.....GOODLUCK BANJ21

:angryfire Sorry, but that is 100% wrong. The US government does not require a license in a home country, only that there are a completed set of transcripts. Please verifiy your source of information before posting.
CGFNS requires the local license to take the CGFNS exam, but they are not the US government, and most states no longer require the CGFNS exam.
You do not apply to take NCLEX, you apply for licensure in a state, the NCLEX-RN exam is only one step in the licensing procedure, and it is not the only one.

JUST A FOLLOW UP TO MY PREVIOUS POST:
IF YOU ARE A GREENCARD HOLDER HERE IN THE UNITED STATES YOU CAN TAKE NCLEX EVEN IF YOU DONT HAVE IELTS, TSE, OR TOEFL.....AS LONG AS YOU HAVE YOUR VALID LOCAL NURSING LICENSE......I REPEAT.....LOCAL NURSING LICENSE IS A PRE-REQUISITE TO TAKE NCLEX...NO MATTER WHAT STATE AND NO MATTER WHAT TESTING SITE....

You're right! These 91 nursing graduates really pisssst me off, I think they're Jealous because they don't have the said "leakage" bakit hindi sila mag review sa RA Gapuz if they believe that Gapuz has a leakage para matigil na ang bunganga nila. You know it affects more than 42000 examinees with this STUPID issue. Our anxiety level increases(Naghihingalo na tayo sa kakahintay) and they prolonging it. Basically, I believe that everyone of us has it's own plans after passing the board exam and there absolutely delaying it. Hope and Pray that We can surpass this predicaments and never tend to relinquish with such adversities like this but to be able to achieve success in our nursing profession.
