Anyone wants to join June study group? Everyone is welcome. Lets make it this time. Anyone can share there experience. Anyone can give us support, encouragement and pray for us. I gave my exam in March. Did not make it. But I am not going to give up. I have no choice. My biggest need is NCLEX-RN. My biggest challenge is Nclex -RN. Lets make it possible. Come come join me. God will be with us. Lets study hard and make it possible. This website is wonderful, helpful. Lets put our passing thread in near future on this website.
ANY STUDY TIPS FOR ME STUDYING LIKE FIRST TIME TAKING NCLEX-RN.
CGFNS exam is only required by a handful of states however doesn't matter if you obtain license in another state or not if Foreign trained you have to go through CVS. Therefore I would only recommend you go to NY if that is a state you plan to work in. CVS takes approx 6 months as that is how long CGFNS allocate to receive all documentation

As far as I can make out on the NY BON they only use CGFNS for CVS. Yes CVS can take anything from 6-8 months depending on how timely CGFNS send for and receive your documents

Thanks. but silverdragon I am just stressed out as I was preparing for exam and now I have to go through Cvs Systen and wait for 6-8 months to appear for the exam.

Do you have to go to NY state? Just be aware going to another state and meeting their requirements can still take about 4 months because you will have to start from scratch and the delay is because you trained outside the US

All the June test takers, how is studying going? I know all of us can do this, we just have to be confident and pray! I plan to take my exam June 30. Kinda nervous and may even push the date back to the first week of July. I am taking the kaplan course now and I am pretty confident I will pass this time. Keep us updated. I will keep all the June first time test takers and retakers in my prayers! God is in out favor we will do will, let keep studying hard:-)

I failed too on my first attempt. I took it last friday and got the quick result on monday. I plan on taking it on a month but I might push it on July too because I am a scurdy cat lol. I hope everyone do good this time around! Never give up, we came a long way and we wouldn't graduate from nursing school if we can't do this. As of now, I am just taking a break and hopefully get back on track again.
Btw almostpedsnurse, does kaplan have a comprehensive book just like the saunders or is it mostly just test taking strategies and nclex/CAT type questions? I am thinking of switching up a bit this time, I really do want to try Kaplan because I heard its pretty good. Please let me know and good luck to you!

Jbreezy (I love the name) dont worry, as you know I have failed and I know it was not my time to become an RN. My mom told me "you are working on the Lord's time, not your time". Never give up and always prayer. Praying has helped me a lot through this process. Take a break and then get back at study. I got a good schedule together, which I have on the calender on my phone and I follow it the best I can daily and I take one day off to myself a week. Do what works best for you.
With the kaplan course there is a RN course book that comes with the course and the book it pretty much comprehensive, however the book is not section into systems like the saunders comprehensive it is section into the categories that you will see on the nclex like phyisical adaption, safe and effective envirnoment...I heard kaplan is good as well. When i failed the first time I only had the qbank, now I have the opportunity to take the whole course which I start this week, and to me it seems that it has all the resources you need to successful pass, its a lot of work but if you follow their plan you will pass (some here on this forum and testify to that:-) )
