June 2008 Local Board Exams Will Not Push Thru??

Hello everyone..I just want to ask if PRC has already made an announcement re the postponement of the June 2008 Local Board Exams?

I saw an announcement in our school re this news and it also says that October 2008 graduates will only be allowed to take the June 2009 exams,not the December 2008 exams..

Any updates will be appreciated.

Yes, as long as one can make it on or before April 11. They will be strict about the deadline this year. I hope they will extend it.

it'll still push thru according to our dean college of nursing. so just like the other peeps have said, u just have to fail your PRC forms til april 11 2007. so hurry up ;) good luck to all of us.

we have heard about that. But what we have heard here is that March 2008 grads WILL NOT be allowed to take that June Board. How true is this?

I've been to PRC yesterday and no posts or announcements regarding the JUne 2008 postponement of local board exam. I asked directly at the applications divisions and they told me they are now accepting applications for June 2008 exam and the deadline is on April 11.

So i guess, its not true!

hi i dont think it is postponed. i have a copy of the memo from PRC. it was dated November 9 2007. bad news and good news.

good news: there will still be an exam on june 1 and 2 2008 and the deadline for filing of application is on april 11 08. the memo wants to inform the public that they will have an earlier deadline(50days before exM date as opposed to the 30days on previous years).

BAD NEWS: its also says that "all concerned are requested to inform and advise that graduates in MARCH 2008(that includes me:o) will take the examination in November 29 and 30 '08 and OCTOBER '08 grads will take the examination in june 2009".

im 75 percent its true! i also got this info from my school unless we do have the same school. arellano university here! they said PRc couldnt afford to accommodate hundreds of thousands applicant applying for June2008 NLE... i cannot wait that long. i supposed to take NLE this June but now im going to leave right after graduation going back to Maryland but Maryland said they require Philippine license so anybody could help me now regarding reciprocity from other state? im dual citizen and i still do want to work as RN in Maryland. thanks!

PRC only stated to inform and advise the students. But they did not indicate that they will not allow June 2008 graduates this June. So it is still possible to take the June NLE as long you register with the PRC before the deadline.

as always, PRC has been crystal clear about everything (note sarcastic tone) haha

I kind of agree to this whole thing though, there's just way too much of us out there. and honestly, its gonna be hard for those new grads and passers as well coz of the retrogression and only a number of hospitals can accomodate the number of nurses that are passing.

But once and for all, PRC should make a solid and clear announcement on this one.
