Join in the discussion if you are graduating in June and planning to take NCLEX in July. Lets study together and support each other. This test is gonna be harder after April, so we need all the help we can get and I want to pass this thing on the first go 'round.
I am taking the NCLEX July 22 but I am faced with a huge problem. I am being hired to work as a camp nurse from July 28-August 24... however, their requirements are either 1) I have my RN license number by the time camp begins OR 2) I become certified in this special emergency health officer course which costs about $450. They don;t want to take the chance of my not having my license number by the time camp begins so they want me to take this course (without reimbursement) which isnt even offered everywhere and anytime. Does anyone know how long it takes for license numbers to be posted? If I know for sure that it would be posted before the camp starts I wouldn't have to bother with the course. Any advice?

Depends which BON you are with
I took my exam yesterday PN. I felt like I knew nothing during the test and had to fight back the tears.... It shut off at 85. I did the pearson vue trick and it came back good but maybe it is too soon. I graduated top of my class but truly feel like I failed. I I have knots in my stomach thinking about all the questions I know I answered wrong. I find out on Tuesday!
I tested today. It shut off at 75 questions. I had a bunch of SATA, I counted 14 for sure. There were a lot of questions on infection control and prioritization. No math, hotspot, or audio questions. I was surprised at how hard it was. I'm a good student and test taker, so I'm trying to be positive. I did the Pearson Vue trick and got the good pop up. I'm so nervous right now.
Good luck to everyone who tested today!

Okay.... I took my exam friday 9th July ... convinced I failed. I was 99% sure. Had a horrible weekend of worry, being sick to my stomach. Found out this am that I passed! I am in shock. So to give others encouragement out there... if you feel like you failed... don't go by your emotions. Keep yourself busy while you wait and don't let your mind dwell on the exam questions. Good luck to everyone!!!!!!
I take NCLEX-RN on next Monday, the 19th, and I am getting kind of nervous. I feel like I have studied hard. I have already done over 3800 practice questions – my goal is 5000 before my test day but I will be happy if I get to 4000+. I have read all of the chapters in Saunders (except Pharm and Mental Health….I just felt like reading about all the different medication were not going to get the information to stick and that practice questions would help me retain the medications better and I have also been good with Psych questions). I have been working through my LaCharity PDA book (working on the case studies now) and I just finished reading all of the section in Kaplan Strategies 2010-2011 book (I just have the 2 practice test to complete). I just keep telling myself that I can do this and that I can pass the NCLEX.
