Hello everyone,
I'm planning to take my test in July and I am doing Suzanne first plan. Is anyone out there thinking taking their test in July please come and help and share ideas..
Thanks
Thank you! Good luck to you too on July 3. I went over electrolytes and labs today along with some meds. I'm doing prentice hall's practice CD right now under the 'client needs' section. I think I will quit tomrrow by about 5pm and put leave the rest of it in God's hands. At this point, I know what I know and I hope that will be enough.
I am not sure if I am the right person to answer your questions, but the way people prepare and perform for the NCLEX are different; the same way the results are different as well... Whenever you are using Kaplan, Saunder's, ATI, I think the main issue is how you prepare for the test. I am scheduled to take the NCLEX on July 17... Based on my friends past experiences with the test, the "simple" think to do is do as many questions as you can. Don't worry about those ATI predictors, KAPLAN and other stuffs! Just do as many questions as you can, review what you missed and look up the rationales. You should know by now what your weak areas are. Just be confident, study hard, get enough rest, have fun, and follow your gut... That's me! LOL. Good luck on the test!

A lot of schools use ATI throughout their programs. I've actually heard that ATI tests are a lot harder than NCLEX. I do know that with ATI there is no way to strategize (like they say you can do for NCLEX) if you don't know the answer. My school used ATI, and the cost was built into our tuition. We also got ATI books, which I've never used.

thanks NFB2008 for the reply, im not familiar with HESI or ATI because we dont have that in our school im a foreign graduate nurse. i just thought maybe i could try ATI but i guess not now because your school purchase it for you,and for sure they require payment,im broke ! THANKS for the INFO
I test July 3rd too! My school also had ATI tests built into the tuition, and in school i failed every single one except for the one that predicts your chances of passing the nclex go figure haha. It seemed to me that the ATI questions were much harder than Kaplans but in truth i never opened the books because they made us test finals week every time and i was too worried about that.
Im gonna study for maybe an hour or so tomorrow and tues but thats it because at this point i am so nervous i am spending more time looking at this board or staring at my books that im not actually getting good studying done anyway.
We can doooo it!!!!!!!
Hi Everyone!!!
I guess this is the club I fit into... testing July 9th @ 8am! I am a nervous wreck! I did great on my HESI tests in school and attended the mandatory review the school did and thought it was very comprehensive but felt very comfortable with the material. Time has gotten away from me and other life complications and I have slacked off in my review... I am freaking out now! I want my RN more than anything and will be sick if I fail because I have no one to blame but myself!!!!
Good luck to my fellow July testers... tomorrow starts the month :uhoh21:
Will be testing in about 11 hours, July 1. Have read many success stories as well as disappointments but I'm feeling positive right now and unusually calm. I have really put in time preparing (about 6 months)I hope it pays off. I would like to feel as calm when it's over although I've been told I probably won't. After waiting so long the wait was more of a stressor than thinking of actual test.
By independence day I hope to be chosenchocolate RN!
Wishing everyone well as we jump the final hurdle

Keep calm and focused during the test. Think of NCLEX as a formality because you already know all the content and can eliminate all the incorrect answers too!
I plan to keep deep breathing to keep myself focused and repeatedly, if needed, tell myself I know this! I WILL BE AN RN and so will you! Your wait will finally be over!
okay ev'one,
i completed the test today at 81 questions. i honestly don't have a clue about how well i did or didn't do. i am holding it together though not too anxious because i prayed and gave it my all.
my opinion is this can be a difficult test to study for because the material to study is so broad. there were many questions on topics which i had studied but not exactly the same. i felt like "i know i studied this but glanced right over the content that would have answered the question correctly!"
i'll have to wait and see what the end is going to be but i will not, we will not be defeated.
if i am not chosenchocolate rn by independence day my plan b is to get right back in the saddle!:deadhorse i am going to ride this nclex thing until i am an rn!
