Hey y'all! Just wanted to see who else is scheduled for NCLEX in July so we can maybe keep each other accountable to study goals, share study woes, good prep books, etc.
My date is July 11th, can't wait!!
I'm doing the NCSBN, Kaplan book, LaCharity, Lippincott and Mosby books, and reviewing ATI books from my school. From what I've read, I think I should get Saunders too... seems like the questions are good.
:DTook the NCLEX-RN today 7/28, Got home and got the GREAT pop-up. This was my second time taking it so Im super happy. The PVT has worked for me before on my first attempt and went to the cc page. I have a huge smile on my face but Im not celebrating until I check my BON tomorrow for my results, Florida post them within 24 hours. This time I went in with confidence and God.
Congratulations!!! I know you can do it... I've been waiting for your post to tell us the good news!!!
I am so excited. I took the NCLEX on July 21st. It cut off at 75 questions and I walked out of there feeling like someone punched me in the stomach. I did the trick and got the good pop up. Then I paid the fee to receive my early results. I can not believe I passed. I am a RN. All of my hard work has finally paid off.
you're welcome...How's the exam? Can you give us some advice? I'm taking my exam soon. Thank you!!!
Pray amd ask for guidance, go into the exam with confidence. I started saying my name and writing it with RN behind it, which gave me more confidence. Make sure you know your core content, cant pass without it, ABC's very important. I used Saunders, make sure you know your endocrine system, infection control PPE and when to use them, know your positions for post-op pt's. Had a lot of those questions both times I took the exam. I went into the exam with high scores on my practice exams from 62-78%. I was praying throughout the whole test and after 75 I took a break and relaxed. Passing 75 meant I almost passed, so I started to concentrate extra hard and prayed extra hard for guidance. When the exam stoped I almost panicked. The proctor said that she knew I did great and to have confidence, she obviously saw me praying throughout the whole exam. I went in my car and cried alittle and prayed and gave thanks for everything. Did the PVT about an hour later and got the good pop up. I had 12 SATA, 2 EKG, 1 math, 3 delagation, most were prioritizing and a couple of pharm.
You can do this, do a lot of questions and read the rationales, I did around 3000 questions before taking the exam from La Charity, exam cram and kaplan qtrainers
Good luck
Well I took the test yesterday.....many drugs I have never heard of and lots of SATA and delegation questions. I have done the vue trick several times with the "good popup"! Praying that means a passed. Just wondering how long in VA does it take to show up on boards or when you call???? afraid I got a good pop up but failed. Calm my fears someone!! Anyone??? Slowly going crazy!!!
linsmirn,
I am sooo happy for you. I am still waiting on Florida to approve my reapplication. I have been going over Kaplan's content videos and I am going to try to do the q trainers and q bank twice. The meds are giving me the most difficult time to remember even though I have broken them down into classes. There is just so many and I got a lot of meds the first time around so I am trying to focus on that this time. I will let keep u updated. Hoping the application gets approved soon so I can schedule my date.
75 questions & good pop up!!!!!!!25 SATA, tons of meds&priority, 1 ekg, 3 math, 1 arrange the sequence.
I'm drinking till Wed morning.
LOL, it's so funny how the exam differs for everyone! I had NO math, NO EKG, maybe 2 meds, NO put in order. TONS of SATA's and I got hammered with *******questions. And I was way over 75 questions and was freaking and the lady at Pearson told me not to focus on the # of questions: she'd seen plenty of failures at 75 and many passes at 265. I still sweated until the "good" pop-up, the official "pass" notice, seeing my name on my states DRL and finally breathed normally again when my lisence arrived in the mail =)
