Hey y'all! Just wanted to see who else is scheduled for NCLEX in July so we can maybe keep each other accountable to study goals, share study woes, good prep books, etc.
My date is July 11th, can't wait!!
I'm doing the NCSBN, Kaplan book, LaCharity, Lippincott and Mosby books, and reviewing ATI books from my school. From what I've read, I think I should get Saunders too... seems like the questions are good.
Well well well! I took the NCLEX today this morning, and it was truly unlike any other test. I must have had 30 SATA, a few infection controls, several communicable disease questions, and a whole bunch of others. I had only a few drug questions, but I just answered them based upon their naming convention and what that group of drugs has for side effects, etc. Went out to lunch, checked pearsonvue and got the good pop up! Went and had a massage, it was GREAT I needed it! Now my husband is going to take me out to dinner! WHAT a day! I can't wait to see my name on the licensing board website! Jane:yeah::yeah:

ps. THANK you Marlene Hurst! I might not have passed if not for you and what you stressed in your lectures! (That stuff was never discussed in nursing school!)
july 15th over here..... using the saunders book...
hey i have a question.. does anyone here know if there is some type of agency that offers housing or maybe job placement for after i take my test??? i have a bsn but im in puerto rico and i dont want to wait 2 years to go work in miami.... can anyone point me in the right direction?
Hi everyone! I just did my kaplan q5 and sad to say, i ended up only getting 51%. Anyone here using kaplan qtrainer as well? Im so depressed, really. :'(
I am also doing Kaplan qtrainers. It's been rough. Most of my scores are in the 50s and 60s. I contacted a Kaplan representative and they said that those scores are typical and that if we do all the qtrainers plus all the questions in the QBank and all the NCLEX mock tests, it's a guaranteed pass. That made me feel a little better. Good luck!! When are you taking it?
July 22nd!!! I'm a nervous wreck!!! I keep wondering if I should push it back. I'm using Kaplan for the most part but also Hurst, NCLEX 4000, ATI, and Saunders. I would like to use the others besides Kaplan more but I feel so pressed for time. Less than 2 weeks at this point. Yikes!!!
With 2 weeks out, just practice questions consistently..........go hard, block everything else and answer questions and read rationales..........you know you got this stuff, you have used one of my favorite learning tool, which is the Hurst Review, so I know you have the fundamentals down. Remember what Marlene have said, and you will be successful. Breath and calm down..........
