JU summer 2011 hopefuls

Published

Hi,

I'm new at this posting thing but it seems really helpful to talk to other people going through the same process of finding good schools and applying for the highly competitive programs. I figured i would try and start a new thread for anyone who is applying for the program that start at JU in May of 2011! :) Best of luck to everyone

Has anyone done their background check yet for JU? I tried to complete mine...I followed the instruction they gave, I placed the code in and I have printed out the form that's to be faxed in. Then it gets to this part where you're asked to continue on and the system ask for a "pin #" ......what pin # are they asking for & how do I obtain that?

Does anyone know where the best place to go for titer testing? My primary doc charges a lot to administer the tests and I would like to save as much as possible.

Hi everyone,

I am new to this discussion but my name is Kayla and I was also accepted into the Transfer Program for Summer 2011. I am very excited, as I'm sure all of you are as well. :) I met with an adviser last Thursday that helped out a lot with class registration. Anyone who is having trouble, I highly suggest doing that. I'm taking all afternoon classes the first 6 weeks, and a mix between morning and afternoon the second 6 weeks. The 7am class that we all have to take the second 6 weeks is really going to be a killer. lol. Anyways, Congrats to everyone and I look forward to meeting you all soon!

I am also in the transfer program :) I just registered for my classes today but have all morning classes the first 6 weeks...and a mix of the two the 2nd 6 weeks!

What 7am class are you talking about? I wasn't given a 7am class nor was it a choice. What is that for?

kaylamarie7, nevermind. I figured it out...it is our clinical.

:)

I would look into Solantic. They should be somewhat less expensive than your primary doctor. :)

Oh! I didn't know it was our clinical. That makes sense why it's so long. lol but yeah, that's the class of 50 so we will all be in it together. woo! haha.

haha, well I believe that's what it is. It says practice...so I assume they mean clinical? I hope they explain it all at orientation! lol It is a lot to take in! That is awsome that we all get to be together though!

I just got my immunization forms filled out yesturday and had to get a TB test and a updated Tetorifice shot...I am feeling that tetorifice shot this morning! haha

Oh boy tell me about it, my tetorifice shot hurts as well :), you should have seen me at the doctors office preparing myself for it mentally..LOL

Hahah, I have a HUGE sore knot in my arm where they gave me it! BOO :/ Sad thing is...I went to go buy some new clothes for summer..and I couldn't even try things on because of my arm hah.

Thankfully I am good with getting shots, they don't bother me when I actually get them..it's the day after I get them that sucks!! lol

Hope yours feels better!!

:)

Thank you....my arm feels a lot better today :)

I looked at the class rosters in blackboard. It looks like a lot of us will be in the same classes. Good luck to everyone on waiting list. Hopefully you will be getting some good news very soon! :)

Like CRHRN2B, I have also looked at the rosters!

For those who don't know...you can go onto blackboard and click on each class and go to the communication link..then click on roster and list all....it will show you everyone who is in your class :)

Neat!
