JU summer 2011 hopefuls

I'm new at this posting thing but it seems really helpful to talk to other people going through the same process of finding good schools and applying for the highly competitive programs. I figured i would try and start a new thread for anyone who is applying for the program that start at JU in May of 2011! :) Best of luck to everyone

The deadline was the 1st of December. Waiting for the interview to take place and just praying for great news thereafter :). Best of luck to you as well. I will be sure to visit the site more often to chat about the progress.

I wonder when we would hear back about the interview....im hoping i can hear some good news because I have applied to a couple of programs before and I was right under the cut-off. So close! It seems like it is getting harder and harder.

I searched through some old post on here, from those who had applied to JU prior to us....their interviews were taking place around February time frame and decisions were being made in March for them. I think that might be the same for us as well.

I know the feeling of wanting to hear good news. I'm having anxiety over it myself. This is my first time applying to any program, but it feels as if I'm carrying a heavy load right about now. You & I have quite awhile, so we have to think positive and hope for the best. Good news will come. I just hope I don't crack with the interview or the essay portion from my nerves. Oh boy.

I know!! The interview and the essay part is already making me nervous and I just only applied. I'm glad they give us the essay topics on the application....that helps a little bit :)

I applied to JU Nursing program for summer 2011, I'm a wreck I pray I get accepted as well. I have heared people say its quite easy to get in being that JU is an private institution. I'm nervous about the group interview, I' scared that my mind will go blank and that I will choke up. Anyhow, I'm going to stay postive and best of luck to all of you!!

Best of Luck to you as well Ellergirl44. I received an email this week stating they have my application and they gave a run down of the whole process again. I'm trying to keep my mind at ease, but that's getting tough. I'm truly praying for a chance. It would be nice for all of us to get in.

Yep I got the same email that they have started the process and I am nervous about the interview as well! I hope I don't talk to much because thats what happens when I get nervous. Best of luck! :)

Lol...there are times I tend to talk a lot as well. Like you stated it's just the nerves that get the best of us. In this situation it difficult to truly figure out exactly what JU is looking for. From this point on it's all based on what we say during the interview, how we answer the written portion, along with the paperwork we have given them already. All I can do is answer to the best of my ability and remain true to myself, and pray not to faint during the interview before it's over with :).
