  1. I had other classmates I graduated with who worked during school in a hospital or a medical setting and all of them landed a job in the hospital right out of school. It was because of experience. So ITT is not a horrible school, but if she doesn't have any prior experience it will be a lot harder to land a job out of school. I did not go back to ITT for my Bachelor's degree, however, I am currently enrolled in Jacksonville University.
  2. I graduated from the ITT campus in Jacksonville, Florida. Every nursing school has its pros and cons, good and bad. I have attended two different campuses (Lake Mary and Jacksonville) due to moving. It really depends largely on the instructors. The campus in Lake Mary had awesome instructors and I learned a lot from them. However, transferring to the Jacksonville campus I found that most instructors had ITT as their second job and could not devote their full attention to us nursing students. There was a very high turn-over rate of instructors at this campus. I graduated in June of 2014 and passed my boards the second time that December. I applied to several positions only to be denied due to the accreditation of the school. Yes it is an expensive school, and luckily I had an associates degree transferred in so I saved a few thousand dollars. I am currently enrolled in a BSN program as more and more jobs are requiring this. My best advice is to look at the accreditation of the school and see what hospitals want.
  3. This wait is killing me!! I just ended a serious relationship soo I dont need this stress!!! I'm praying for good news
  4. yep I'm still waiting!........I heard from somebody that there were still a couple of interviews being conducted but for the transfer students they were done....so im not sure.......im gettting so anxious now.....I applied for a new job but if i get in for school i cant take the job but at the same time if i dont make it then i have to take the job.....it all depends on this acceptance/waitlist/denial letter!
  5. I also heard that to that some people know right away if they're not called for an interview! haven't heard anything yet either. I sure hope I get an email :)
  6. Well let's just hope we don't let our nerves get the best of us
  7. Yep I got the same email that they have started the process and I am nervous about the interview as well! I hope I don't talk to much because thats what happens when I get nervous. Best of luck! :)
  8. I know!! The interview and the essay part is already making me nervous and I just only applied. I'm glad they give us the essay topics on the application....that helps a little bit :)
  9. I wonder when we would hear back about the interview....im hoping i can hear some good news because I have applied to a couple of programs before and I was right under the cut-off. So close! It seems like it is getting harder and harder.
  10. Yes it is always helpful to talk to other people in the same boat....good luck to you and happy holidays :)
  11. Hi, I'm new at this posting thing but it seems really helpful to talk to other people going through the same process of finding good schools and applying for the highly competitive programs. I figured i would try and start a new thread for anyone who is applying for the program that start at JU in May of 2011! :) Best of luck to everyone
  12. Is there anyone here that has applied for the program starting in summer 2011?
