JU summer 2011 hopefuls

Published

Hi,

I'm new at this posting thing but it seems really helpful to talk to other people going through the same process of finding good schools and applying for the highly competitive programs. I figured i would try and start a new thread for anyone who is applying for the program that start at JU in May of 2011! :) Best of luck to everyone

Will JU be the only college you apply with for nursing?

I'm so sorry to respond late. I hope we do enter the program together. I also received an email stating that my application was received. I will stay posted with you.

Just got my email for an interview last night. Any ideas on questions they ask? Ive read that it is a group interview & they have provided the essay topics in the email. Does anyone know when they make admissions decisions? good luck everyone

Congrats & good luck with your interview! As far as what kind of questions they might ask...that could be just about anything, I truly do believe it depends on who conducting the interviews that day. I hope to hear something soon about an interview! Keep us posted and hope all goes well :).

There is only 9 more working days left in this month and I have yet to receive a email stating a date for a interview.....my nerves are up, oh boy. Hopefully I will hear something soon.

My email stated that everything had been received and that they would begin conducting interviews in January and continue until the end of February. When you are asked to interview has no bearing on your "rank" or anything. It is totally random from what I can tell. It is stressful, but hang in there! You still have plenty of time to hear something. I keep telling myself that as well

Thanks for the positive feedback. I'm hanging in there, just trying to keep my nerves under control :). Just want things to turn out great. One thing for sure, these months are going by fast & before we know it a decision will be made.

Hello guys I also applied for summer 2010. I recieved my e-mail for an interview I am soooo nervous but I am very determined good luck everyone. From what I have been reading their were people that did not even get the chance to get an interview.

I also heard that to that some people know right away if they're not called for an interview! haven't heard anything yet either. I sure hope I get an email :)

I've heard that its around 300 people get interviewed and they have about 50 seats.

I called a few days ago and talked to Chris Rillstone, because I was curious about how many seats their actually looking to fill. He asked me was it for 2nd degree or transfer and I told him I would be a transfer student and he stated 15 seats with transfer students. I just pray I might be what they are looking for. Trying to stay positive.

How would they know if they are not going to interview? Does someone call and let them know?

I am doing 2nd degree and I am not sure how many seats they are looking to fill. I did get an email to interview next week. Hopefully you all will hear something soon as well!
