I haven't seen any threads yet about the Johns Hopkins accelerated MSN program for Spring of 2018 so I thought I would start one to chat with other hopefuls like myself!
Also, if anyone who has previously been accepted into the program, any and all advice would be greatly appreciated! For now, I have a few questions:
-Does anyone know if all parts of the application are weighed equally or which ones they place the most emphasis on?
- I took the GRE once and I scored in the 82nd percentile for verbal reasoning (score: 159), 93rd percentile for analytical writing (score: 5), and the 55th percentile in quantitative reasoning (score: 154 ) Should I retake it to improve my math score? My fear is that I'll take it again and do worse!
- What is their acceptance rate?
- Any good tips for the personal statements? I'm finding that it's very difficult to articulate why I want to be a nurse without sounding cheesy.
- Where else are y'all applying?

I have been checking this blog and my email religiously! For those who applied to the early decision deadline of July 1 - have you all heard anything? If there is one thing I have learned from my journey this year of applying to grad school, it's that I have zero patience LOL
@rutterke7 - same here, I feel your pain. This waiting game has been so trying. I applied by the July 1st deadline, and still haven't heard any news. We could start hearing back as soon as next week, which is so nerve wrecking...but I just want to find out and (hopefully) be relieved already!
@msmsn - I completely agree with you, just ready to know. The last I heard, when I attended the last info session on August 15th, one of the admissions team stated that early action decisions for the July 1st date would go out in 2 weeks. Well - 2 weeks from August 15th is this week!!!!
:-0 really?? Well, that piece of information makes things more interesting, haha! I was not planning on going into crazy mode until next week, but I guess this week is officially fair game. Here's hoping and praying for the best *fingers crossed*
Will anyone be looking for a roommate. I am 23 and pretty easy going. I do not really want to live alone, plus a 2 or 3 bedroom is usually more affordable and we can study together. :)
