Making a post for anyone who has applied to Johns Hopkins demsn for fall 2024 as I haven't seen a forum for it yet! It looks like in some years past people have heard back in the first week of January? How are we feeling??

Fingers crossed. I am stressing LOL

LOL I feel you!!

I got my acceptance & scholarship at 6:14 PM today!! So excited!!

I got waitlisted. Not great news but also not horrible news. Does anyone know how long after do those who are accepted have to confirm? Trying to get an idea of when I would receive a possible answer. (If I receive one)

My letter says I have to accept by Feb 12

out of curiosity, who that has been accepted is a "traditional" (straight out of undergrad) student?

I'm pretty sure that is a majority of the students. About 75% of my cohort is straight out of undergrad.

oh nice! thanks for the response!

Hi. I got accepted on Tuesday as well to this program. I got a more sizable scholarship based on what others have posted but don't feel comfortable sharing amount. I have also been accepted with full tuition scholarship to UVA CNL program, and accepted to Emory MN to MSN accelerated program and to Yale's GEPN program. I can't make up my mind. I don't know what to do. I am still waiting to hear back from Vanderbilt as well for NP Program. I too am finishing up undergrad this May. I am so stressed about making this decision. I am going to all of the admitted student days, if I can, to help make up my mind. Quality problem - but very stressed about which way to go. I want a crystal ball. My GPA is 3.91 and I am graduating from my college honors program. I have taken no other academic tests submitted. Worked in both med research and in nursing sim lab at undergrad, and was involved in a lot of community service work. Also I am 18 and a male, so that may have made me stand out. Accepted with 3 prereqs still to have completed. I have two left to do. Not sure why I got accepted everywhere, but I did work very hard on my essays. I would love input about how to make up my mind where to go.

I am also very concerned about physical safety at this program. It is actually my biggest concern and main reason to maybe not accept offer. Thoughts? I am not from the East Coast and do not know the area at all.

I'm waiting to hear back from one more program but will most likely be commiting to hopkins. Does anyone want to make a group chat for people who are accepting?

I also got into Emory and will most likely be attending there in the fall for the MN program. Would've done MN to MSN but they didn't have the speciality I want for the NP portion

How are you making your decision? I am also concerned about upcoming shifts in DNP required for NP  beginning 2025. I think that will really shake up things in these programs over next few years. That may help inform where I go and whether the NP exam will be grandfather'd for the Masters. Are you going to any admitted student days to help decide?
