Johns Hopkins Direct Entry MSN - Fall 2024
Assdoobee you may have benefited from my giving up my seat over the weekend for this program. I have just recently gotten accepted into my dream program at Vanderbilt for the direct entry MSN dual specialty in both NMW and Family NP. It was too great of an opportunity to pass up. Hope you have a great experience at Johns Hopkins. I am glad to hear my spot went to someone who is so grateful to receive it. Best wishes.

Vanderbilt University MSN PreSpecialty 2024
Who is attending admitted student day this Saturday 3/2/24? Looking forward to mtg others. I got accepted to the direct entry prespecialty dual Midwifery and FNP program. Finishing up undergrad in May. Turning down Yale FNP, Emory MN to MSN FNP, UVA CNL, Johns Hopkins FNP, and Duke BSN program. Hope I am making a good choice, but this program is literally my mental vision board, and I plan to commit after this weekend if all goes well. Others asked about GPA, etc. in prior posts, I have a 3.94 GPA, and while still an undergrad student I managed to obtain two yrs of experience working in my CON sim lab, and two years in research in AI in medicine. I took several honors classes and volunteered A LOT! I will be graduating Summa Cum Laude with additional departmental honor, and a member of Psi Chi honors society, amongst other things. I am sharing this not to make anyone else feel badly or insecure, but to reflect the effort I put in to preparing myself for this pathway. I understand this was a very competitively strong cohort. Don't feel badly if you did not get in. There are many other pathways to pursuing your dream or find ways to get more experience or increase GPA and try again.

How are you making your decision? I am also concerned about upcoming shifts in DNP required for NP beginning 2025. I think that will really shake up things in these programs over next few years. That may help inform where I go and whether the NP exam will be grandfather'd for the Masters. Are you going to any admitted student days to help decide?

Johns Hopkins Direct Entry MSN - Fall 2024
Hi. I got accepted on Tuesday as well to this program. I got a more sizable scholarship based on what others have posted but don't feel comfortable sharing amount. I have also been accepted with full tuition scholarship to UVA CNL program, and accepted to Emory MN to MSN accelerated program and to Yale's GEPN program. I can't make up my mind. I don't know what to do. I am still waiting to hear back from Vanderbilt as well for NP Program. I too am finishing up undergrad this May. I am so stressed about making this decision. I am going to all of the admitted student days, if I can, to help make up my mind. Quality problem - but very stressed about which way to go. I want a crystal ball. My GPA is 3.91 and I am graduating from my college honors program. I have taken no other academic tests submitted. Worked in both med research and in nursing sim lab at undergrad, and was involved in a lot of community service work. Also I am 18 and a male, so that may have made me stand out. Accepted with 3 prereqs still to have completed. I have two left to do. Not sure why I got accepted everywhere, but I did work very hard on my essays. I would love input about how to make up my mind where to go.
