John Tyler - Fall 2016

Published

Who is planning on applying for the JTCC programs for Fall, 2016?

I'm only applying to the hybrid track (thanks to my little kiddos at home, lol)!

Does anyone know if it's advantageous to apply to only one track or two both?

My insurance won't cover any of it, so I'm doing mine through accessalabs.

Anyone buy their books yet and are able to tell me how much they are?? I haven't been able to make it up to the bookstore yet!

I'm waiting until my financial aide is available but the lady at the bookstore said about $1700 minimum when I asked

Thanks so much! I went on again and it said price unavailable, but if you click on it, the price is there. Couldn't find the skills bag online though.

I'm also waiting to get my stuff, but I'm concerned because the bookstore site says the book bundle that includes the hard copies is back ordered. And I'm not sure if I remember this correctly but I believe someone at orientation said that last year they ran out of books...

Are you applying this fall ? Did you take TEAS yet ?

Hey guys, need some feedback. Just checked my tuition and fees and my fall total for Nursing I and Health Assessment is $2,885.00! Maybe I am missing something, because I was expecting something under $2,000 - based on $142.50 per credit hour plus fees. It does show as in-state tuition - but much higher than I expected! Can you look at your charges and give me some feedback?

Thanks!

Robert

MillyGi,

Most or all on this thread have already applied for fall (taken TEAS) and all who applied have received admission decisions.

Holy hell. Yes, mine says the same thing. I can't figure out why it would be so high!

Obviously can't call until Monday, but I tweeted about it and messages the SNA and the JTCC Facebook pages about it. Also asked some other non-nursing ppl I know at Tyler if their tuition is funky. I calculated it, and it's a charge of $276.50/credit hour instead of the $146.75! That's close to double!!!

I just heard back from my nonnursing friend, and she also was overcharged for tuition. I am thinking that this is a widespread error on John Tyler's part.

Mine says the same thing. I signed up for the test and study skills class which is only one credit and my breakdown says it costs $276.50. This doesn't make sense. I based all of my financial decisions based on the JTCC website that states tuition is just below $150 per credit. I truly hope this is fixed or is a mistake otherwise I'm going to have issues paying for my books on top of this...
