John Tyler - Fall 2016

Published

Who is planning on applying for the JTCC programs for Fall, 2016?

I'm only applying to the hybrid track (thanks to my little kiddos at home, lol)!

Does anyone know if it's advantageous to apply to only one track or two both?

I'll have to get to uniform city and give them a shot, hate buying pants online!! I really like the tailored zipper scrub top on the Meridys website though! All I can think is if I get thrown up on it'll be easier to change out of without getting vomit in my hair!!

Haha! Good thinking!

I think I was looking at the same one. The one without the collar. Although the collars are sort of cute and remind me of the British NHS nurse uniforms.

They are cute but collars drive me batty, I like the collarless one!

I found the pants online at all heart's website by searching the style codes. I couldn't find the shirts though. I'm on my phone now but later when I grab my computer I can post the links!

And I also can't stand collars!! I'm going for the unisex v neck style, not the zip up.

I've done a ton of research on shoes but I want to clarify and see if the clog style are ok before buying!!

In the handbook, they have to be solid white or black, and can nurse style shoes with backs.

Inalways thought I'd be a sneaker gal, but I tried on the Nurse Mate's Rebecca shoe, and I was in love!

Got my shoes today!

If anyone knows what shoes they're getting, check if uniform city has them. Their shoe prices are already really good, AND the whole store is 20% off!

I got an $80 pair of shoes for around $55!

Nice! I'm definitely going there for shoes and possibly pants. I got my new watch yesterday, oddly none of mine had numbers or a second hand!

They only have Landau pants in one style, but I was able to try on for size within the brand. I think we are going to have to stick with Landau because apparently their wine/burgundy is different than other brands.

Has anyone in the Hybrid program registered for classes? I'm looking through them and wondering if the Monday 10:15-12:15 is on campus or mandatory online lecture or if it's something we can watch at a later date. So many questions! (Most of which I'm hoping will get answered tomorrow!)

I believe that's the meeting on Aug 22, and we may have meetings during that time slot during the semester. I could be wrong though!

And, yes, I have signed up for classes.

Has anyone started getting their vaccinations/immunizations or had titers drawn? I need to call and see what would be more financially savvy!

I had my titers done during my annual physical but (at the recommendation of the nurse there) I'm checking with my insurance company to see if they cover the TB test and the Hep B, if they don't she said to find a local free clinic who will usually do them at cost!
