Hi guys! The deadline for John Muir Health is approaching, and thought I would make thread for the Fall 2022 app cycle. Best of luck to you all! Did you specify what units you wanted in your CV?

I did my preceptorship in Neuro/medical and did a paid internship in the CVICU so I stressed that too during my interview LOL I am just glad I got an ICU position

I asked during my interview and they told me at least 2 per unit usually but that some hire 3

Also, for those who received an offer, were you sent an email notification saying your Harver Reference check was completed by John Muir?

It was very easy going / conversational. They were all really nice, made it less nerve racking ?
Hi folks, I am interviewing with the ICU panel at John Muir health. To the folks who interviewed with CVICU/ICU did they ask mostly behavioral questions or were there any clinical questions asked? Any reflections on your experiences interviewing welcome. Thanks!
@layanegg I am very interested in the CVICU and interviewing with the ICU panel this week. How was your interview? Did they ask any clinical questions or mostly behavioral? Did you stress your interest in CV specifically? Thanks for any information!

If you search up the hospital name and interview questions they should come up. It was almost exactly the same. All where behavioral based on previous experiences. The first thing they asked me was why nursing and I was able to answer that really well and got them to laugh which cracked the ice. The most important thing you can do is practice a bit ( I literally only practiced the morning of) and be yourself!
on how I got CVICU, I did a paid Externship in the cvicu but my preceptorship was nuero/medical ICU , and I spent my last semester rotating in trauma/surgical/cardiac/nuero for one of my clinicals. I also worked as a tech in a surgical ICU. Towards the end of the interview they asked me which ICU out of all the ones I’d been in I liked the most and I said I really loved CVICU but I’d be happy to work in any. That was the only time I really stressed cvicu during my interview bc I didn’t want to only go for one specific and not get an offer. But if you only want cvicu I’d just let them know!
good luck on your interview!!

I had my interview on Friday and a bunch of unit managers from all the ICU units were there and from outside knowledge I was told not to specify unless asked. Also, if asked do mention your experience.
Hi Everyone!
I interviewed for all the ICU positions on June 7th and they said it would take about two weeks to get back with an offer/rejection. Today is the 2 week mark and I haven’t heard back yet. I was wondering if anyone was offered a position already or if interviews are still in process?
Good Luck Everyone!
