WOW!! Good question, have you tried going to Arkansas? I'm not a nurse but I hear nurses at my job talk.

I know of new grads that got on at Methodist Germantown, Methodist South, Methodist University, Baptist, and Crittenden County Hospitals. St Francis and St Jude are BSN only due to Magnet status. Unfortunately, I also know a lot U of M, Baptist, Dyersburg, and Southwest graduates that can't find jobs either. You have to just keep trying. Good luck and know that you are not alone!

People that just graduated from my school have gotten hired quick at Methodist Germantown and St. Francis! People that had externships at Baptist (mostly Baptist students) get hired quick at Baptist. Not sure about the Med...

Neither St. Francis nor St. Jude are Magnet facilities.
All of the metro Memphis hospitals hire new grads except for St. Francis Bartlett and probably Delta Medical Center. Bartlett is in the process of creating a new grad residency.
Both are in the process of applying for magnet status. St Francis is very open in telling you that they only take new grads for the Versant residency. You must have a BSN only to apply because they are trying to become magnet.

I have a BSN and I have been an LPN for a year working a CV-Stepdown unit, I also currently hold ACLS/PALS certifications and I still can not find a job.
