Job interview tomorrow--clothes

Published

I bought a black skirt business suit to wear for my interview tomorrow. I also bought 2 shirts to wear with it. I have been reading about recommended colors to wear and now I'm not sure about my choices. I choose deep purple and bright orange shirts to go with my black suit. They looked really good. I have several interviews this coming week so I bought 2 shirts so I'm not wearing the same thing every day. Would you or would you not wear the bright orange shirt?

With a black suit I would think a little pop of color would be nice. With a jacket on you don't see a lot of the top anyway, right? I picture that outfit as professional but confident with a bit of a spark. Good luck!

Yes you can only see just a bit. Thank you!!!

It's generally thought that subdued colors are better for Job interviews however if you coloring is complemented by the blouse and iit is a conservative professional cul by all means wear it.

I agree.

I would go for the purple shirt; depending on how bright the orange shirt it may or my not be beneficial; it's hard to say because one doesn't know how a potential employer will take a bright shirt-it may make you stand out from the rest!

Bright colors are happy colors! I say go for it.

Good luck with your interviews!

Purple is seen by some as more calm. Orange can be seen as nervous and even angry. I'd pick purple.
