Job Corps CNA Program

Published

Hi, Im just wondering if anyone has taken their nursing assistant program in JOB CORPS. If so, how is it like? I think its a free program, but what is the schedule? As well as the length of the program? And any other additional information I may need to know about the program. THANKS!

Thank you SlaveHeart, and I have called but but they didn't allow any questions yet, he said to come to orientation and he will answer all questions and everything there. He also gave me a huge list of things to bring with me. So i was wondering if anyone knew on here in the meantime. I agree, CNA training again wouldn't be a bad thing but if given the opportunity for LPN I would be extremely pleased.

At the worst they will just have you do the CNA training over again then you could do the next LPN training that they offer. Hopefully you can get in this time around. Maybe you could ask if you could do the two concurrently since I all ready have had the training.

Good luck.

Thanks SlaveHeart, I am going to try have an orientation appointment very soon. =]

Hi, is the Atlanta campus safe and how are staff? And about the RN program; if it's not free then how do they expect low income students to pay for it? As I owe on my current student loans and my former university won't release my official transcript. What is cpp phase? And what is the shortest time someone can complete the cna program post arrival?

I am currently a Job Corps student taking the Nursing Assistant class and i believe it is a great school to go to. really the time of you being in the class is up to you because its a at your own pace facility. You have on campus living and 3 meals a day. you get paid every 2 weeks for being here. and the teachers are here to help not here cause they need a job.

Specializes in Geriatrics and LTC.

hi jobcorps student.. i was wondering which center do you attend?
