hi jobcorps student.. i was wondering which center do you attend?

Cpp is career prep phase..its just a 3 weeks class you take when your first get here.. it gets you ready before you start your trade.. but the dorms here at keystone are pretty good. its about 620 students here all together, we have 5 dorms,some are quiet, some are loud, some just for guys and some just for girls so when you get here, you'll kinda figure out what dorm is your "cup of tea", i guess you could say. but i dont know where your from IRA89, but its really cold here,so pack lots of warm stuff and boots.

ohhh.. no.. i've been here a while.. i'll be starting the LPN course on Nov 5.. are you just starting LPN or CPP?

Hey..hope you had a good weekend... and yes! im here at Keystone...and yes the article was most likely about keystone... i hear the LPN program is pretty tough. alot of the girls here say its all work no play! from what i hear it's a little bit of everything with it. They do eject you out of the program if you fail to pass a certain module such as pharmacology or med-surg (etc) and you have to go home... and yes i was going to go to the JC in Virginia, but my admission's counsler said it was full (the lpn program atleast) its a wonderful program..its all women and its all medical and they have a high pass rate. im hopefully will start LPN is October. i was already a CNA when i came here.. so they said i have to take medical assisting 1st then LPN in october. i hope u do decide to come here.. its a big campus we have like 620 students. so its pretty crazy.but its good =))

Hi! sorry im so late getting back to you... but glad that your enjoying the experience in sunny atlanta...i wish i could say the same here in up- state pennsylvania... but all is well.. sorry to hear that the CNA program was closed... we have the same problem here at Keystone...soo many students and not enough instructors..but anywho.. although the RN program is not free..you should def look into it.. or take the LPN..and then bridge over to RN through other programs. but def check to see if its accredited. where are you orginally from if you don't mind me asking?.. {( im get a little homesick from time to time,im from VA)}

hey sakiohma!! just noticed this post.. i am currently at the job corps center. here in Pennsylvania..and I've been here for about a month now..and im really enjoying it. They Have CNA. Medical assisting and The LPN. course.. along with a list of others.. the experience has been good so far Im already a CNA =).. Im hoping to start LPN in October.. but i think you should go for it.. its a wonderful opportunity for young people. and the programs have alot to offer.. what job corps are you thinking of going to? (where are u located [state])

Good evening dawn. i couldn't help but notice this post, i use to feel like that all the time.. i know when i first started in the medical field going forward with A&P and medical terminology and classes such as that,i would just pass by a hair.. it pushed me more and more to get that grade up.. i think you should be proud of yourself.. you worked hard and your moving on! keep going and good luck!! =)

I have been a CNA for a year or so and im currently in school now, i will be starting LPN in a few months, at a vocational school in the state of PA, i am very excited to take the next step, my passion for the nursing field is very big. any advice...?
