JJC Spring 2010 applicants

Does anyone know when the emails about being accepted to the program will go out? I think it probably won't be for a few weeks, but I obsessively check my email!

I finished almost everything. I am currently taking BIO240 and BIO251. When I complete these two, I will have finished all the sciences required. I haven't taken speech or sociology, but I was told they didn't matter.

:yeah:im am so excited! i got accepted.day program. it has been a long haul trying to get in.Congrats to those of you who made it..We're about to start one heck of a journey. My sympathys to those that were denied. KEEP TRYING!! dont give up.

lilwannabern - would you be willing to share you application stats? I applied and was denied. My test scores were well above the averages of students accepted but my GPA was below. I have 4 of the 6 pre-req's and am in A&P II right now. Just curious. Trying to understand it.

Please, please, please share your scores, gpa, classes taken. I too am incredibky frustrated I did not get in and what to know how I stacked up. Thanks!

Meg - My scores were as follows:

  • BIO151, BIO240, ENG 101, PSYCH 215, HEAL 109, BIO 250 - "A"
  • PSYCH 101 - the dept. let me skip since I had taken it as an undergrad when pursuing my B.S. There is no grade shown on my transcript for this course. I was told that it would be treated as a "C" in calculating my points (as though I CLEP'ed out of it)
  • Currently enrolled in BIO240 and BIO251
  • TEAS Composite: 92%
  • TEAS Reading: 100%
  • Missing Requirements for Graduation: SPCH101, SOC290

Hey my grades and scores were as followed

Psyc 101 B

Spch 101 B

Eng 101 A

Bio 250 A

Bio 251 B

Psyc 215 B

Bio 151 B

Heal 109 A

my Teas Compostie score was and 82.8 and my reading was 97.5

I also have my CNA but i know that doesnt count towards anything with grades. As far as how exactly they really calculate this stuff is beyond me. Dont be discouraged and definatly do not give up.

Psych 101 - A

Psych 215 - A

English 101 - A

Speech 101 - A

Bio 240 - B Doesn't count as part of prereq GPA

Bio 250 - A

Bio 151 - A

I'm in bio 251, health 109, and soc 290 and I'm getting an A in all of them right now. My TEAS composite was an 86 and my reading was a 90(a little below the average for accepted students).

And I was denied. I'm still stuck scratching my head the more that I think about it. What went wrong?

I have been accepted into the day nursing program!! Here were my scores-

Psyc 101 B

Eng 101 B

Bio 250 A

Bio 251 B

Psyc 215 A

Bio 151 B

Heal 109 B

Psyc 290 A

I havent taken Speech yet, but I think thats the only one...

My TEAS composite score was 85.9 and my reading score was 97.5
