Jefferson State Community College Summer/Fall 2016 Hopefuls!

Published

Hey guys! I just thought I'd start a thread for this year's JSCC Nursing School hopefuls!

Summer/Fall? Have you submitted yet? Full time/part time?

I turned in my application on the first day of class! Pretty sure I have everything I need finished. The advisor told me I could apply for summer (full time) if I wanted so I did! I applied with 197.7 points and a 3.5 GPA. If I don't get in (kind of iffy on if they will accept the science prereq I have) I'm just going to retake the TEAS test and apply for fall.

I think it's technically more competitive because it's not offered at every campus. i think it's just one campus now if I remember correctly

Yes. It's harder to get in because it is only offered once a year and at only one campus. The counselors said that the cut off is higher than the full time program. They said to have a shot I needed at least 185 so you can see how close I am.

I'm sure you're going to get in A.P., keep the faith!

From what I've read your competitive A.P. You've got a good score. You'll make it.

I sure hope you guys are right. Hopefully we'll get the good news soon.

my aunt actually dragged me down to campus and I met the pharmacology prof on Jefferson campus, and asked her about when we know something, all she could say was midjune, which we kind of expected anyways lol

Someone just told me Father's Day weekend.

oh that would be awesome!

That same person just gave me a cost breakdown of how much money it takes just to get started, and OMG it is expensive.

what are the expenses?
