Jefferson State Community College Summer/Fall 2016 Hopefuls!

Hey guys! I just thought I'd start a thread for this year's JSCC Nursing School hopefuls!

Summer/Fall? Have you submitted yet? Full time/part time?

I turned in my application on the first day of class! Pretty sure I have everything I need finished. The advisor told me I could apply for summer (full time) if I wanted so I did! I applied with 197.7 points and a 3.5 GPA. If I don't get in (kind of iffy on if they will accept the science prereq I have) I'm just going to retake the TEAS test and apply for fall.

Quizlet is a good source for studying, too. And, Study Blue.

has anyone asked when we would find out? I saw the summer starters found out two weeks after the deadline

We probably will not find out until the end of June. I'd say around the 25th.

I've read from previous posts that it should be 3rd or 4th week of June.

It is June!! We are going to find out this month. I am so nervous and excited.

They will send out rejection letters via mail correct? I think I read last year that they were sent out a little bit before they got acceptance letters through email. I may be wrong though.

Yeah I've heard rejection letters will be thru mail and acceptance thru email but I'm not sure of the order. I have 186.5 points and I only applied for the part time program. I would feel a little better if I could do full time and had a couple of campuses as a backup but I don't. Also with the part time program if you don't get in you have to wait another year to apply instead of the next semester. They really should offer it more than just in the fall.

Is the part-time program more competitive than the full-time? Because from what I have read 186 points is pretty decent.
