Jefferson State Community College Summer/Fall 2016 Hopefuls!

Hey guys! I just thought I'd start a thread for this year's JSCC Nursing School hopefuls!

Summer/Fall? Have you submitted yet? Full time/part time?

I turned in my application on the first day of class! Pretty sure I have everything I need finished. The advisor told me I could apply for summer (full time) if I wanted so I did! I applied with 197.7 points and a 3.5 GPA. If I don't get in (kind of iffy on if they will accept the science prereq I have) I'm just going to retake the TEAS test and apply for fall.

Do they count any of the other classes as points?? Ex: English psychology?

No. The only classes they use towards points is Bio 201, 202, 220, and Math 100.

Hi, Is there someone that applied for the shelby/hoover campus?? I applied for the fall with 180.5. I didn't study for my teas V test as I should also didn't have enough time to retake it.I'm hopping to get in a full time program. Can't wait to hear what was the cut off, how many people applied this year...

Do they factor the labs of the sciences into the points??

I'm not sure I understand.. Your labs aren't separate from lecture. Whatever your grade was in the class includes both.

At my school the lab and lecture are separate.

How did you calculate your points?? What were they if you don't mind my asking?

If you go to the link and scroll down, you will see what classes count torwards points, and a chart for determining your points from your TEAS test.
