I am so glad I was directed to this discussion forum. I believe it is a great place to share and learn. I am extremely interested in Jefferson's FACT program. I plan to apply for May 2012. I just wanted to reach out to anyone with similar interest and your thoughts on the process. I would like to know who else plans to apply for May 2012 and if your pre-req's have been completed.
Just to share a little about myself, I am completing my BS in Public Health at an online University (3 weeks left!) and have all the pre-req's completed. I am just excited about this next journey.
I also love how Jefferson FACT students automatically are accepted into the MSN program. My goal is to become a Women's Health NP, and Jefferson seems to be the way to go.
I would also love to hear from current students as well.
Hi, I have, but NursingCAS is taking loooooong to calculate my gpa, so I assume that until they do, the application will not get to Jefferson. Hoping the process speeds up, I really want to start in May.
Well I'm yet to submit my app. still waiting on a reference. Traveled out of the county and just got back abt 2 weeks ago so that delayed my submission. NursingCAS has received one of my transcripts but they're yet to calculate my GPA. I should be submitting mine close of this week
Hi, everybody! I also applied to the May 2012 program. TJU has apparently received all of my application materials, but I have yet to receive the supplemental app. I called admissions to see why and they explained that the supplemental app hasn't been sent out to anybody yet. I just want to make sure that I'm not alone!
NursingCas completed my gpa calculations (took about 2 weeks), now i'm waiting to hear from jefferson with the supplemental app (it's been a week since nursingcas sent them my app). how long does this take? has anyone received it yet?
I also have everything turned into NursingCas and my GPA was calculated. It took about 2 weeks for them to calculate after they received all my transcripts. When I called the other week to see about the supplemental application, TJU explained they haven't sent it out yet to anyone, but should be around the first week of October. I also emailed Nikki, and she explained that she won't start looking at applications until mid October. I hope this helps those who are feeling as anxious as I am ^.^
Update: According to the admissions office, they still haven't sent out requests for supplemental information for those with complete nursingcas applications, but be sure to check your email frequently as they will be going out soon. I couldn't get an exact date or a range this time for when they'll be sending them out.
That is very reassuring! Thanks :) I know a girl in the program now and she said that people started to be accepted as early as the first week of September. Perhaps this is the first year they're including a supplemental app?
