Jefferson FACT 2012

Published

Hello all!

I am so glad I was directed to this discussion forum. I believe it is a great place to share and learn. I am extremely interested in Jefferson's FACT program. I plan to apply for May 2012. I just wanted to reach out to anyone with similar interest and your thoughts on the process. I would like to know who else plans to apply for May 2012 and if your pre-req's have been completed.

Just to share a little about myself, I am completing my BS in Public Health at an online University (3 weeks left!) and have all the pre-req's completed. I am just excited about this next journey.

I also love how Jefferson FACT students automatically are accepted into the MSN program. My goal is to become a Women's Health NP, and Jefferson seems to be the way to go.

I would also love to hear from current students as well.

hey mitch30, i don't know for sure how they are sending out the interview emails but i don't think it's by application receipt date because i submitted my app mid-ish october. i never received the 1st round confirmation letter and had to call them to make sure i was considered in the first round.

I submitted Oct 4th. But based off of what Fancy said, I guess that doesn't mean much . They may b goin in alphabetical order for everyone in the 1st batch.

I submitted mine early too, and I still didn't get anything yet my last name begins with a W. Remember the confirmation letter saying some will let a decision before Jan. 1 and other will get it after Jan. 1.

Mine starts with an H

Fancy, Mitch and Terp, what's the first letter of your last names? Just to get an idea of the interview process. Thanks

Mine starts with O. i have a gut feeling that they may be looking at how much classes you have left to take too...just a hunch. Also i think they may be letting people know sooner than Jan 1 if they've been accepted. Based on the Pre-licensure thread, someone found out a few weeks after his/her interview.

That rules out alphabetical. Fancy you may be right. Oh well, I guess that part is not for us to know. But trying to figure it out gives us something to do. I'm now trying to prepare for the interview. I am practicing questions.

Did anyone submit their application in the second round? I have not heard back from them yet regarding an interview and the wait is killing me too. I just got accepted to Villanova's BSN Express program and have to make a decision by Jan 4th with a large non-refundable deposit fee. Do you think if I told them this info they would be willing to review my application sooner? I just don't want to waste any money!

Hi everyone, I've been accepted to the program and can't wait to get started! I've been so thankful for this website (I just signed up today but have been looking for a while!). I just want to wish everyone good luck with their interviews :) There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

@ bippity

wow congrats!! that's awesome news :) can you tell us a little about your interview process? how soon after you interviewed did you get an acceptance? Any other info for all of us waiters would be really helpful!

Wow bippity! Congrats!!! I'm with Ash..can u give us more details about when you applied and how soon after your interview you received word? Also, how was your interview? Was it intense?

Hi again sorry about the lack of detail! I applied very early I would say NursingCAS had all of my stuff in by the middle of September at the latest. All of my pre-reqs have been completed, I was taking them along with my undergraduate degree. I'll be graduating in January.

For the interview just be yourself. It was really laid back they just want to get to know you and make sure you understand what nursing is all about. Try not to work yourself up about it. Think of it more like a conversation. Everyone I've spoken to at Jefferson has been so helpful and kind.

I definitely do not think they are going by last name for the 1st review period. I think it's probably by when they received your application.
